L'Hirondelle Restaurant

This quaint French Restaurant is a neighborhood gem. We have been going there for years and it has never disappointed. The owner Ali is wonderful! His staff Liana and Josh always make you feel at home.  It is a family owned restaurant and we have ordered everything from the French onion soup, pate to lamb chops, filet mignon and Beef Bourguignon. The quality and flavors of the selections are always fresh, tender and delicious.  And then there's the dessert to top off your meal. So delicious and sumptuous.  We love love love this restaurant! We are Regulars. Now our little secret is out on Open Table.

We had a very lovely experience sitting outside by the fountain for our anniversary. This is my husband's favorite French restaurant in the area. We highly recommend it.

A warm reception, a beautiful garden setting, impeccable service and a delicious selection of our favorite French entrees.

Mushroom appetizer was great. Filet Mignon seemed like it was cooked low and slow - no crust and generally mushy. Duck and sole were ok. Great outdoor space.

L'Hirondelle is tucked away near the railroad track in San Juan Capistrano. I discovered it while dining at another restaurant nearby. The atmosphere is charming and the wait-staff is very friendly. I had the house salad and duck with orange sauce. Everything was delicious. My husband and I recently moved to the area and will definitely be going back to L'Hirondelle regularly.

L'Hirondelle is one of our favorite restaurants in Orange County. Now that we live in San Diego County it takes an hour to drive there, but it is always worth the time to come back to dine there.

This is one of our favorite spots that locals only know about. The French cuisine is delicious, the staff are truly above-and-beyond, the outdoor back patio is so charming overlooking the historic San Juan Capistrano mission where a fountain burbles and the mission bells chime at the hour. There's white string lights, flowers and greenery, and it's not only romantic, but family friendly and dog friendly. We are happy for them that they are on Open Table as of this week but also sad because our favorite go-to will become busier... haha! Also, the Mother's Day Brunch, special occasions & holidays here they make extra special. Highly recommend.

Unfortunately I did not experience the enchanting traditional French cuisine I was expecting. The duck was tough and very plain with a price tag $55 dollars .. the value was not there. The atmosphere is charming like grandmothers house in France but could use a little updating. I left disappointed

Very cozy place. Good service and very tasty food.

Great place to dine, nice food (tarragon chicken is top notch) , and very attentive and responsive staff. Whenever I'll be driving back from San Diego, or just happen to be in the area, I'll certainly grab a seat and a plate here.

What's not to love about a restaurant where you feel like you're in someone's home? Great wine, incredible filet.mignon, best French onion soup ever! I've been going here for years, never disappoints. Great service.

Terrific spot with charming atmosphere and very tasty food. Everything was wonderful! Family owned spot with a real love for their work and guests. Can't wait to return!

Forest time at a French restaurant and it makes me want to visit the country. The staff was friendly, the tables were cozy and made it easy to visit with other like they do in Europe, at least that is what I was told. The French soup and petite rack of lamb from this place would be my last meal.

Quiet quality restaurant with continental food. Excellent quality, ample portions, very friendly service inside or on their patio. Free parking. Across from the Mission and close to the historic district. A gem.
