What an unexpected gem of a public course. Great layout and the course is in beautiful condition (well done superintendent!). Clubhouse is nice, saw some entertainment and the food was an additional pleasant surprise with a friendly wait staff. Nothing bad nor questionable to say!
San Juan Hills Golf Club is one of the best-kept secrets in South OC golf. Beautiful rolling terrain, well-maintained fairways, and a laid-back vibe that makes for a great round. The driving range and practice facilities are solid too. I bring clients out here when I'm showing properties in the San Juan Capistrano and Ladera Ranch areas — it's a great way to show off the recreational lifestyle this part of OC offers. I recently spent some time out on the course and at the clubhouse, and while the overall experience was great, there’s a clear standout here.
The golf course itself earns a solid 4 stars. It’s a fun, challenging layout that is well-maintained and offers some beautiful views throughout the round. It’s definitely a spot I’d recommend to any golfer in the area looking for a quality local track.
