The Coach House is such a great venue for live music. We recently saw a Grateful Dead cover band there, and it was an awesome night. The sound was excellent, the crowd was into it, and the intimate setting makes every show feel like you're right up close to the music.
The staff was friendly, drinks were reasonably priced, and the whole place has that classic concert venue vibe that's getting harder to find. If you love live music, The Coach House is a must-visit in San Juan Capistrano.
Food sucks though, don't eat here lol
Guaranteed great food, drinks and a memorable night!
Fun fun fun. The food was good too. We had a great time
Every seat is close to the stage but food and drinks are terrible and way overpriced.
The St. CHCH anoints its patrons with baptizing fire and the speaking in many tongues. Living near the notorious SunsetStrip clubs, like Whiskey-A-Go-Go, it’s few and far between but wonderful to visit.
This venue is very cool inside, but it kind of stops there. The sound engineer really needs to balance the band to vocals ratio better. The singers have to overload their voice and can't tell what they are singing. The lights could have been much more entertaining as well. What really got me, and maybe it was an odd night, but this is my 2nd time here and the same thing. The staff? Very mundane, as if working in a cool concert venue is no fun at all. One bartender probably shouldn't be a bar tender in a rock club. Bad attitude and interactions. Got mad real easy over a silly situation. If you people don't like working there and can't put on your waitress and bartender hat and smile when you get there. STAY HOME!!! If you don't like your job. FIND A DIFFERENT ONE THAT PUTS A SMILE ON YOUR FACE. The owner needs to give them a class on the hospitality industry. Plain and simple. Bye!
Great venue!

Love it had a grate time
The piano player and younger artists that they brought up where fantastic! Theu reallt made the experience amazing. We took our teenagers to.gove them a love piano experience, they sang along. The place could use a face-lift. The waitress was abit blunt and not helpful, took over 48 minutes to come back around to us to order additional drinks. The food is not really great and very over priced. Drinks abit pricey as well. Bit that was expected. You must buy two drinks each, including children.
We needed to change our reservations at the last minute, and missed most of the opening act. Regardless, We were seated quickly enjoyed our show with the only caveat being some of the smokers were gathering near us so we had to deal with the odor a little bit. The food was tasty, and the sound quality reasonable. Definitely bring hearing protection in case you're seated close to the stage like we were, as it will help the next day with ringing ears etc. Of course, it was a thrill to see RC&LAtM has played there - will have to return if they do so again...
The coach house is cool. I saw Jerry's Middle Finger, Jerry Garcia Band tribute there and they rocked the house as usual. The food was good and very expensive. The service was excellent. The only thing that was a bummer was that they had no real good place to dance except off to the right of the stage. Given that you were all into dancing, it was totally packed and a bit awkward. I get that there are people who like to sit down while they listen to live music, but it would be nice if they cleared at least a small dance floor in front of the stage instead of having it off way off to the right where you can't see the band that well.
Great music but it cost to much $$$
