“The Philly Cheesesteaks here are very good. I been here twice already since I’ve discovered it. I believe the prices are reasonable because of the great quality of the food. The neighborhood is a bit rough but obviously that’s not their fault. I wouldn’t sit in the shop and eat there again if I didn’t have too. This issue is all throughout California TBH. Since there are SOO many homeless people, it changes the sit-and-eat experience.“

“Hands down best Gyro I’ve had since visiting Denmark. The seasoned fries paired with their ranch and smokey barbecue sauces were divine. The atmosphere is very friendly and the dine-in aesthetic was quaint. HIGHLY recommend OakTown Kabobs with my boy Farzad.“

“Food was delicious I never wrote reviews before but had to share my experience only thing I didn’t notice was if they had bell peppers to add on or jalapeños then would been 100 percent perfect. Service was good friendly guy in the front food came out fast and hot ❤️“

“I know.... They take a hit on atmosphere but let me explain..... This little locally known spot may have the best sandwiches 🥪😜 in the bay! And I'm not kidding. I first came here when I was 15 and nothing has changed, the consistency is overwhelming. The cheese steaks ranged supreme here, real 🍖 meat, not that shaved frozen stuff. You'll see patrons leaving with 4, or 5 this is serious business 😂, They have a pastrami also that I believe will rival any you get in New York, Fry's always nice 👍 to order. Only thing is the dining room hasn't been updated since the 90s , practically same table and chairs. Some people might find it a little rough but for me it's like coming home. Very few businesses have survived in Oakland this long. They even have a News post from the 70s giving thanks to the founder. And yeah it's in a rough neighborhood but to get to the good food that's where you gotta go😂👍 good job guys!! I'll be back on Friday for another, and don't forget the Tiki punch.“

“I came here on a whim on a Sunday and realized they are closed on Sundays. I decided to come back on a Tuesday and was not disappointed! It's a small place tucked away in the corner of a shopping center. The inside is clean and quaint. The staff is very nice, they greeted me when I came in and when I grabbed my food to leave. The prices are affordable, and the steak sandwiches come with fries included! They have many other menu options, and I will definitely swing by again to try something different from them. I ordered the Bob's Hoagy. It was packed with meat and cheese. It also included fresh onions, lettuce, and tomatoes. There was a good balance of meat, cheese, and produce and a good portion for the price of $13! The fries it came with were perfectly cooked and crispy, and not too greasy.

“This is what all mom and pop restaurants should be like. You can literally taste the love in every bite. Everything they serve is fantastic. You won’t be disappointed. I am, very emphatically, including the deep-fried Oreos in that statement. Worth the drive and definitely worth the price.“

“I called in through door dash and then picked up. Super fast!I had the king size chicken Philly with hot peppers, sweet peppers and onions.It was very good and cheesy, and great to share.Curly fries were okay- a little oily. But usually always good.I’ve been coming to this location since when they had the punch cards!

“Ive been to the food truck & the storefront. The food consistency is the same at both! The meats are flavorful and they have a nice menu selection. Definitely recommend the steak & shrimp fries & also the cheesesteak egg rolls. The steak hoagie is also good (taste similar to the egg roll so cant go wrong).“
