Never any complaints about coming here. Food is consistently good as well as the cocktails and service.

Very good fresh food. We tried several appetizers and entrees and were pleased. The waitress was quick on her feet given it was an unusually busy Thursday evening and three birthday tables. Only complaint was the mariachis. They were playing in the bar area where we chose to sit ourselves due to happy hour treats. They strolled up and asked if we had a request. My Mexican wife said ok and requested a song. When done, one mariachi said that will be $30. No mention before hand a song came with a charge. The charge was paid. That wasn't cool. That really set what would have been a 5 star birthday evening downward. Regardless, I recommend El Torito. Very pleasant staff and great chef!

Our party was seated in an area of request; we did not have to wait long. Our server was good, he failed in refilling our waters though. The food was luke-warm, he did replace one of the diners dishes, all other diners were too hungry and ate their luke-warm entrees. A discount was not offered to the party for their luke-warm entrees. The food was ok, I expected it to be better. A fuss was not made due to this was for a birthday guest.

It was cold inside, I don't think they had a heater on but it was freezing outside and we were cold inside. Food was good and our server was great we were just freezing.

This was my 1st time having Thanksgiving meal @ El Torito. When we arrived there were 3 hostesses behind the podium. 1 of the hstes (in a white sweater) welcomed us. She looked inquisitive so I said we had a reservation & gave her my name. She then went to the computer & then answr'd the phone that just ranged. 30 seconds or so later she hung up, turned & spoke with another hstes & then they were looking @ another computer talking. She finally turns back towards me, looked @ her computer & was typing...then, she looks @ me & asked for my name again. Bad start. She eventually showed us to our table, handed us our receipt & said when we are done to pay up front. She left. I couldn't hear her & had to ask my sis what she said. Then I asked my sis if the hstes said anything about what to do next. Do we just help ourselves to the buffet? Do we wait for a server to tell us anything? OMG. The hstes irritated me for just leaving. So, I went back to the hstes podium & asked her do we just help ourselves?? She asked if I had reservations. I told her she just seated us. She said, "It's a buffet. You help yourselves." Geez. I get how a buffet works but no matter how many times I return to a restaurant that has a buffet, the server always lets me & whomever I'm with know about how things were done. I get a plate of food. I return to the table w/my plate & don't see flatware. I asked around & finally an employee asked didn't the hstes give us any. NO. This employee gave us some. @ the table a server came by & introduced herself, taking our drink order. Anyway, the food was good. After eating but still talking, I gave the waitress a tip. When we were done we went to the front to pay. The hstes said we pay the server. Are you kidding me? The 1st hstes gave us incorrect info & the server should have told us, when I handed her the tip, to pay her when we were ready. We were able to pay @ the podium when they got the server to met us there. Also, why the $$$ surcharge, El T? Nvr agan!

Came to have brunch with my family and received horrible service. We had to flag down multiple different servers when we needed refills, when we wanted our pancakes and when we were ready to pay the tab because our server was focused on anything but serving his assigned tables. He came to our table twice and once was to bring us burnt black pancakes. All the while there was an amazing server who was keeping all of her tables serviced and their drinks full, she came over to help us multiple times and was the only saving grace while we were there.

This place has a nice view but that’s about it, furniture is run down bathrooms are nasty, food on the floor when I walk in and an hour or so later it’s still on the floor even after I asked the waitress if she could clean it . Dirty tables broken tiles around the windows .
