Clean place, nice cashier and front lady, food is delicious. However I picked Classic, which used American cheese and not Swiss, it does say it on the menu I just happened to overlook it- which is my fault. Delicious regardless, and plentiful fries come with it.

Been coming here for 20yrs and the food is always hot and delicious and made to order. I moved away but anytime I’m in the bay it’s a must have.

This is one of my favorite places to grab lunch. I tried the hoagies, fries, chicken strips, rice plates, and burgers, and everything is delicious. Wait times can be a bit long during the lunch rush, so make sure to call ahead. The people who work there are super-friendly and nice.

Best cheesesteak near Hayward. I have eaten at every cheesesteak place near me, provided by Google, and this place is my favorite.

Perfect Mom and Pops grilled style sandwich shop and fish and chips. Have only had their cheese steaks and pastrami. Love their Cheesesteaks. Pastrami tasted like luncheon meat style vs East Coast and with processed cheese - still worth it for the price with the best fries. Will return whenever I want a cheese steak.

I've been coming here for over 10 years and I love this little place. Always a smile when I come in and the service is always great. Their ranch dressing is the best, highly recommend it with your curly fries :)

This place has been here basically forever since I first lived in San Leandro and the food has always been consistently tasty and fresh. Run by a cute Korean mom and pop couple, the value for a quick lunch is solid. Yes, post pandemic inflation has caused prices to increase but you get what you pay for. Hoagy steak has been a staple for me as an SL local and I would recommend it for anyone who is looking for a regular lunch take out place.

Love this place. Small Mom & Pop restaurant. Reminds me of those old school M&P Italian restaurants back east. Excellent food. French fries always fresh, hot and firm. Their plate combos are enough for 2.

Parking: Main street paid parking. Side street free.

Kid-friendliness: The owners are very quiet, polite, respectful. They always greet the kids with a big smile.

Wheelchair accessibility: Entry is level with street. Not a lot of space, but they will try to accommodate.

Sandwich was just ok, not great but not horrible either. Owners are very cheap as they charge extra for everything. 25 cents for ranch, 50 cents for BBQ sauce on your sandwich, and an extra 4 dollars for veggies on your cheese steak. Since it was so expensive I decided to just go with water. When I asked for a glass of water they told me that they don't do that there. Really? When have you ever heard of a restaurant that won't give you water? The only option was to buy either a bottle of water or a can of soda, both of which are 1.75. If you're not going to serve water the least you can do is provide a complimentary bottle of water for the people dining in. Went with the soda since I'd have to pay the same for water. When all was said and done the bill was a little over 17 bucks. Not worth it for a mediocre sandwich and a drink that I shouldn't have had to purchase. Highly recommend trying someplace else. Charging extra for every little thing is ridiculous, especially water for Christ's sake.
