Didn't have a problem paying 90.00 for 2 orders of oxtail dinner. But the oxtails, rice and gravy had no seasoning. I know you can't add a lot of seasoning but some is better than none. The yams wasn't that sweet and the cornbread taste like cornmeal.

If comfort had a flavor, it would be found in a slow-cooked plate of oxtail with rice and gravy. This dish is a masterclass in depth, richness, and soul. I’d rate it 10/10 and would forget my name again for this plate. How I wish we had the same restaurant in Canada. Highly recommended!

They're DELICIOUS! Everything I've ever ordered is DELICIOUS! From the turkey wings, collard greens, mac & cheese, peach cobbler, it was out-of-sight! And I'm not a big soul-food eater, but they're at the TOP of their game when it comes to this home-style of cooking. It's ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS.

Pork chop sandwich is fire..all the food is very good
None of their size had flavor. I’ll order yams, mac & cheese and greens. Well, I’m a take it back the grill mac & cheese flavor, but it wasn’t cheesy and black pepper. The chicken isn’t done all the way it’s still red in the middle and it last flavor.
Food was not soulful at all can you open at 11:00 AM? I got my food at 2 PM my chicken was over hard the grease seem like it was never changed from the day before cabbage was very watery. The mac & cheese was not baked at all. The food was horrible. Sad to say it was better at the other location.

Nice spot. The catfish was seasoned and fried PERFECTLY! I almost went back to order another plate. Wide range of prices so pretty affordable for the area. Desserts are overpriced though. Great service and short wait.

Delicious food, sorry no pics. We had the pork chop, wings, catfish, swt potatoes, Mac /cheese , fried okra, red beans, cornbread muffin. Everything was delicious, foods tastes like Grandma cooked it !!! Was passing thru but will make it a destination spot when in the area Love to see small business SHINE

I was in town for a short trip, and I came across Scends by chance, and I'm so glad I did. The staff was so welcoming as soon as i walked in, gave honest recommendations, and the portion sizes were hearty! This was good Ole home cooking and I will be back next time I'm in town!
