We enjoyed the last night of comedy hosted by Michael Booker, after 16 years! The Englander is closing. I will miss the food and the great drinks as well.
So sad to see this iconic restaurant close. The fish and chips, and Shepard's pie were authentic English dishes. We will miss the giant ref phone booth that greated you on the patio.
First time at the Englander. Went on a Friday night before it got crowded. We waited quite a while before we got a server to take our order. We ordered the fish and chips and 16 piece chicken wings. We also had to wait awhile for our food to come. Two small pieces of fish and instead of 16 we got 8 chicken wings and no fries. We had to complain about our order and he took $5 off the bill. He said they only have 1 cook and he was the only server. But at least he should know what we ordered and explained the situation when he brought the food and not wait for us to complain. Also it appears they cater to the regular customers and not us. Food was just ok.
The new owners are a breath of fresh air. The wine bar is a great addition to this classic downtown eatery.
Great meeting rooms for events and groups. The owner was awesome to open early for us to come in and have a work session. The food and service is always very good. I highly recommend them!
Fantastic and delicious food, I love the mood the spot has, and the cashiers were super nice. I will definitely visit here when I’m around.
good place to grab some traditional food.
Great customer service! TVs everywhere!
It was understaffed and a smaller beer selection when I was there, but what they had was good. The soccer memorabilia decor looked good, too.

Consistently terrible service. I've been here four times. The beer selection is excellent. The food is aggressively mediocre. Every time I patronize this place I get the idea that they cater to their regulars, and everyone else gets for the most part ignored.
Food is average. Prices are a bit high. But a nice change from the Asian market dominated area.
Cold beer. Delicious food. Great, friendly bartenders.
Good food and a wide variety of beers. Also to mention good service
My uncle's girlfriend just catered his memorial here. The food was fantastic and the 2 young ladies in charge where also fantastic
