Extremely disappointed with the customer service and what has happened to Gala bakery. I was a loyal customer for over 30 years since the original owners. We referred everyone to gala and our whole family only use this bakery for all of our cakes cookies etc... It seemed like once Covid hit it just went downhill Customer Service was nonexistent it seems like it's all about the coffee shop now the online ordering was a total debacle and when I reached out for Customer Service for my daughter's 30th birthday ( we've purchased a cake from Gala every single year since my daughter was 1) got a rude curt response from the owner about how the website was simple to use and she would not customize a cake and I had to choose from the limited assortment on the website.. it wasn't simple and I gave up! I've since gone elsewhere since apparently loyal customers don't mean anything to The owners anymore. Very disappointing!

Went to Gala Bakery website. Gala stated they are only taking online order due to COVID restrictions. I placed an order and prepaid. Gala responded giving me a time to pickup order. Went to pickup order, Gala said they do not have what is listed online. Very disappointed as this was a gift for someone. Gala could have informed me before I went to pickup my order. Instead I had to choose from the stock they had on hand. They had nothing close to what I ordered. So I had to settle for what was available at the Bakery. I have been going to Gala since the day it opened.Don’t know if I will go back.

Had a last minute request for a birthday cake and decided to pop in here to see what was available. My decision turned out quite simple since they only had one flavor: white cake with strawberry mousse and vanilla icing. This turned out to be a good "choice" - the cake was moist, not super dense, and with a good amount of strawberry mousse. The icing was sugary but at a level standard to other Western-style bakeries. They were able to add a nicely handwritten "happy birthday" quickly and accurately. Prices have increased so be aware and factored into the rating. You can do custom cakes through their website if you plan ahead and are okay with the cost. Also had an Oreo cupcake which was okay but at $5, I'll hold off next time.

I want to thank Gala bakery for the services they have provided us. They went above and beyond on our wedding day. Great and easy Communication and kind in every way. The wedding cake was Gorgeous and delicious. I would Highly recommend them .

This was a late post. I bought cupcakes from this store. I was guaranteed that it will still be soft and moist. The children didn't even bother to eat the cupcakes it was dry and stale.

If you want an amazing cake or pastries make your way to Gala Bakery! Locally owned and service is fantastic. I've ordered many cakes for large events (from my parent's 50th wedding anniversary to mom's 70th) and also smaller birthday parties and Andrea and her staff never disappoint. She can customize anything, her products look and taste amazing and she does it all with a smile and positive and professional attitude. Highly recommend!

Very Dry cupcakes. Frosting tasted artificial. Most of us thought the same way about the cupcakes and we all ended up throwing them out after our first bite. Very disappointing.

Went in with my daughter to get some goodies for the gloomy weather we've been having. When we walked in there was 2 people ordering and 1 person waiting for their i teams. Took my daughter over to the display so she can choose her cupcake. While we waited we were not acknowledged which is fine the workers were busy. As the people ahead of us got their orders, it was just my daughter and I waiting to be helped. Still we were not acknowledged but we have been seen, another person came in and was helped right away which at this point my 3year old and I left. We've been here many times and had never had an issue.

Where to begin. My wife & I ordered a cake on May 11th for my daughters 3rd birthday.. which was 10 days prior to the actual event. We placed the order for a 2-Tier Candy Theme cake which came out to a total of $288. We were happy to pay the price point because of the quality of design work and size of the cake. After placing the order online there was zero communication from the Gala team even though we tried confirming pick up date / time via phone several times but it's impossible to get anyone on the phone, it's a round about phone tree system. In the end we decided to trust all would be fine. Eventually pick up day came around when we went to get the cake to our surprise we were only presented with a 1 Tier cake that served roughly 1/2 the amount of people we were expecting. Their solution? To offer a random cake from their bakery to make up the difference in serving pieces. As professionals in the cake design business with price points nearing the $300 range I would imagine they could be more empathetic to the amount of work that goes into these types of party themes / designs etc. We simple asked for a refund that would be in line with the other 1 Tier Cakes they have in their system ($85) and would have been happy with that. We even tired explaining that is the online system had informed us of the issue or if someone form their team had reached out to clarify what we wanted etc we would have made the proper adjustment. But no.. Abbie the "store manager" went on to blame technical difficulties with their online ordering systems and poor communication in an effort to pass blame rather make the situation right. I'll end with this.. they did offer a partial refund & a small gift card which in no way justified the experience or cake size delivered to us for the party and the overall experience was just sloppy.
