Fun place. Nice to have them in my neighborhood. Huge beer selection on tap. Maybe a couple ciders, a seltzer or hard Kombucha. Beer fridge for sealed to go purchase. Casual scene: families, dogs, food trucks. Also in an area where another brewery, ciderhouse and two wine tasting spots are within 500 feet.

They hosted a drinking relay race for St patricks had people run thru my neighborhood. A person lacrosse tackled me, cursed me out and kept running. I quit drinking four years ago. Can't accept that. Live in connect building. It's on camera just not well enough.

Big fan of Ancient Owl, especially when they have live music! Live music + great beer selection + dog friendly = my perfect Friday night.

Great place to hang out. They don't serve food but there's usually a food truck of some sort around.

Great beer and great service! Food would be great but with the food trucks (when available) it’s a win win. They let you bring your own snacks thought, that’s a plus! Love the outdoor seating that’s available and bar height tables and chairs are the vibes! Dog friendly and family friendly.

Good selection but a bit expensive. $5 for a half pint for most drinks. They have food trucks and night events like trivia on various days of the week. Chairs/benches are not super comfortable

Parking: A long curb and small lot available for parking

I love this place. Great beer selection, awesome food trucks, fun events. I wish there was more seating, but there isn't really room for more, so there's not much they can do about it. Dog friendly.

Ever since it's inception, this has been easily one of our favorite places to hang out on this side of the 101/Downtown SLO. Great spot for post-grad locals, families, and more with tons of outdoor/indoor space.

Always love the draft list here compared to just about anywhere else in the county. Marcin and the entire AO team do a fantastic job sourcing from amazing craft breweries up and down the state. Not many places around here do you see a draft list with Sante Adarius, Alvarado Street, Russian River, Green Cheek, Everywhere, Humble Sea, and Trillium all at the same time. Also source the very best local SLO/Ventura County beers.

Staff here is always friendly. They have TVs, weekly events, often bring in local food trucks, and have amazing refrigerated to-go beer selections as well. They're the center piece of the Duncan Alley project for good reason and we look forward to meeting friends for beers + hanging here well into the future. Awesome addition to SLO!

SO, we live in the HEART of wine country. But this place ONLY sells BEER and CIDER. I like beer. But my fiance would very much prefer a glass of wine.

When I politely ask the staff WHY they would not have ANY wine on tap. Like maybe a Sauv Blanc and a Pinot... They say, "Actually, we are a beer garden, that's why" They have been trained to say that.

This is a bad business model. WE would go WAY more often, if my fiance could just have a glass (or 2) of wine. But instead, I have a beer or two. She chokes down half a cider, and we leave.

C'mon guys your business model is a bit silly and restricted. Atmosphere is great. I gave it 5 stars. But friends and neighbors all disagree with this. VERY stubborn.

New spot to grab drinks. They have rotating food trucks. They let you bring in your own food which is nice!

Tap house atmosphere.. nice venue with beers from local breweries. Was there on a holiday weekend and many were letting children play around the tables and run without much supervision.. we would’ve stayed longer but this wasn’t very relaxing.
