About Bing's Bao Buns

Bing's Bao Buns offers a variety of delicious bao buns, with the Grilled Cheese and Philly Cheesesteak being standout menu items. The restaurant is located in SLO Public Market, making it a great spot for a quick bite and some different Asian snacks. The vibes are chill and welcoming, with many open tables where customers can sit and enjoy their meal or take it to go. The owner and staff are very friendly and consistent in their customer service, creating a warm atmosphere. The bao bun selection is somewhat limited but features creative flavors, including the char siu bao, Sichuan chicken, and Thai basil beef baos. Many dishes have a good kick to them, so be prepared for some spice. The Duck Fat Truffle Tots are crispy and highly recommended, and the Kimchi Fried Rice is a flavorful, fulfilling dish. Customers love the creative flavors of the bao and enjoy seeing the owners during their visits. Parking is plentiful, including a large supercharger, and there is a kid-friendly upstairs play area with menu options for children. The staff is super accommodating and offers a wide selection of cool imported snacks and tasty mochi. They also have amazing items beyond bao, including Lo Mein Noodles and Tater Tots with a very tasty and memorable kick. They always offer a variety of plant-based options that are just as flavorful and satisfying.

the char siu and the mushroom Bao were both such a delicious addition to my roadtrip and Gizmo was super attentive and funny! also insanely good prices for quality! the kimchi tasted authentic and retained a lot of crunch!

The buns are absolutely delicious. I’m hooked. There is quite a selection and I haven’t had one that I didn’t like yet.

Bao buns were GREAT! Also loved the tater tots. Friendly service and cool food court area. Quite a few vegan options!

Vegan options we tried: mushroom curry bao, tater tots with furikake and sesame noodles
