Our son loves the chocolate chip cookie with the vanilla ice cream. Wish they would give a bigger scoop for the price you pay for the ice cream.

First to note, this location is takeout only. There is no seating indoors or out. The ice cream choices left something to be desired; Thrifties has about double the flavor options. Another similarity between Cowboy Cookie and Thrifties is the icey taste of the ice cream. We tried two different flavors and both were substantially icey, so seems like an issue of a freezer being set too low versus the ice cream being old, but end result for customers is the same. The cookie was pretty yummy and warm. It’s served in a custom cup to accommodate spills which can't be cheap to keep in stock, so the $8 price seemed justified to me. Overall worth trying but some improvements are needed.

I was really disappointed when I had to experience the embarrassment of bringing a plain cookie cake for my friend's birthday. I ordered a birthday message to go on top and got not even a sign of frosting/icing. The dollop of ice cream on top was something I bought elsewhere because ice cream was not an option at this place. At least the cookie cake had good flavor. But make sure you check the accuracy of your order before leaving...

come here for the cookies - sidekick & wrangler!
"No sign of life"Showed up around 11:30am and the lights were off and the doors locked?
Good but expensive for simple cookies that don't have enough filling
Tastee!
Def a good cookie and ice cream but a little too sweet for my taste. Recommend the white chocolate chip macadamia cookie bowl with pecan something or other ice cream. Will update if I remember the other ingredient.

So bummed! What happened to their cookies? They don't taste anything like they used to. Yuck
my experience here was quite positive. i got the cookie cup and unlike some other reviews mention, my cookie was served warm and soft. there was not many cookies left when we got there though (3 hours before closely, which is quite odd considering they had about 2 cookies left) but the experience was overall positive
We stumbled across Cowboy Cookies while wandering downtown SLO and found selection of cookies. There was nothing unusual or unique about these cookies but they were quite good. They also had bowl shaped cookies that you could put a scoop of ice cream in, we didn't try that but it sure looked good. If you have a hankering for cookies, Cowboy Cookies is worth a try.
Cookies were mediocre. Needed more flavor
