Rubio's Coastal Grill

I never really complain or say much but this was this worst experience. Their website sucks beyond any other I've ever used and the manager Gustavo was no help at all. I had spent 2 hours just trying to get my order done but their website deleted everything if I was kicked off the page. Then, it doesn't let you auto fill the page with anything and kept freezing and that would again clear all the fields. It was so so frustrating and ultimately the order I did thru their website was not delivered and this is after I was billed twice. So basically a hundred dollars for no food and the manager said sorry but we cooked the food so call the delivery company yet couldn't tell me what delivery company picked it up for delivery. I have never been so mad and he was absolutely flippant and simply did not care. I had to complain about the double charge and was told again that they did their part and he was not about to give me free food to replace the order unless I wanted to pay for it again.

This was a take out order. We ordered via the app. The food was promised and delivered on time. Taste was very enjoyable.

My chicken was burnt to ash and they had the audacity to serve it to me. Threw my entire bowl away. Corn was flavor less. Had not been to rubious in years and today they reminded me why. Unbelievable. I wish I took a picture of my chicken. There is no way they were not aware. More like careless/cheap. No quality control ?!

manager here seems to have been here for a while and has ALWAYS smiled, given great service and is respectful of the customers.

I want to give a shout out to Reanna ! I had placed an order over the phone a couple days ago and it unfortunately did not get sent to the kitchen and after about 25 min of waiting, I kindly asked Reanna if she saw my order in her system and she said no. She took the time to explain what happened and that she would take care of it . Keep in mind it was BUSY! Not only did she offer a discount for the trouble, she grabbed the receipt and asked her team to expedite the order . She had it out in under a couple minutes and she was so sweet . Even though it was busy, I could tell she was empathetic to my situation and it didn’t go unnoticed . Thanks girl!

Other than needing a couple more people to keep the place/tables clean, it's always a place to stop when I get some time off the road/highway.

Out family loves this place for so many reasons! Good food, good value and great options! Customer service is great too!

AWFUL. The only thing this place is consistent with is messing up my order. I kid you not every other time we have gotten a quick dinner they have messed something up. My husband ordered to-go and my burrito without salsa fresca. It showed up with tomatoes all in it, and *tomatoes make me vomit instantly*. When I returned with the burrito to ask them to make a new one, the manager said “that’s pico, not salsa”, and tried to explain to me, a grown ass adult that has lived in CA and eaten Mexican food my entire life, what salsa is. Our order said NO SALSA FRESCA, which was all over my burrito. I’m lucky I’m not allergic or I would have had to go to the hospital. Abysmal customer service, and gaslighty manager. I will NEVER recommend Rubio’s.

The mango said is good but they give you small portions. Also they will be discontinue this soon.

Not hot food mild heat made me have a thought of already made food or for short LEFTOVERS !×*!!^

Have always enjoyed Taco Tuesdays at Rubios. Tonight's meals was disappointing. Quality was not what we were used to, portions smaller, prices higher, very unfortunate. Might be time to reconsider our Taco Tuesday destination.

I run the Escondido Community Garden and we were celebrating our 30th anniversary this weekend. Alicia, the manager, blew me away with her kindness and generosity. The food was delicious and the presentation perfect for our outdoor event. I have always loved the San Marcos Rubio’s and they have my allegiance even more after this weekend. Thank you!
