Have always enjoyed Taco Tuesdays at Rubios. Tonight's meals was disappointing. Quality was not what we were used to, portions smaller, prices higher, very unfortunate. Might be time to reconsider our Taco Tuesday destination.

I run the Escondido Community Garden and we were celebrating our 30th anniversary this weekend. Alicia, the manager, blew me away with her kindness and generosity. The food was delicious and the presentation perfect for our outdoor event. I have always loved the San Marcos Rubio’s and they have my allegiance even more after this weekend. Thank you!

It's Rubios, they don't have these outside the Southwest part of the country. When we return to the Southwest, we hit Rubios right away. Great flavors, menu, food so good.

My kids like the fish tacos here. I tried a burrito, and there was hardly any chicken in the chicken burrito. It had plenty of black beans and rice, but not much of anything else. The service was fine. My husband ordered the especial fish taco plate. There was a dime sized little glob of guacamole. So he asked for a side of guacamole. They didn't want to give him. But they did. So that was good. Although, it's funny cause' the manager said that's how they do it. So just beware if you get the especial fish tacos. Make sure you get your decent amount of guacamole. It's hiding under the fish, that small green spit. Haha
Bathrooms needed some attention too. The staff was nice but nice doesn't make a good taco or keep a bathroom clean.

All around horrible. I ordered chips and guac and they forgot my chips. Staff is rude, my daughter’s burrito fell apart because they can’t make a burrito either. Will never be coming back. Spent $68 total and it was not worth $5

I ordered a chicken quesadilla on door dash, and when I got my order I started to eat my food and realized they gave me shrimp. I ended up throwing the rest of my food out

Had a big chuck of an whole hard avocado in my bowl and the staff seems very unhappy there also presentation of my food was very unpleasing, the last time I came it was ok but this time I will not be back….

I've been coming to this location weekly religiously for over a year. I usually either get a bowl, or my ultimate favorite, the classic chicken taco with flour tortilla. Their chipotle dressing and the lightly toasted tortillas are so delicious. Especially on taco Tuesday where they're only $2.5! I also love the mango lime refreshment. I don't know if it's fresh or what, but it's my favorite drink. The staff are always really respectful and nice. And they bring the plate to you :). There's plenty of parking and it's right off the freeway.
