Sayulitas Mexican Food

Listen, this place is SO GOOD. The food is 10/10 the service also 10/10… we dont live super close but will happily make the small trek for this!!! You wont find a better burrito than these! (And fries and nachos etc etc etc.) That being said I am super bummed @ my recent experience! Well last two if I’m being honest… a couple weeks ago we had family in town so we took them here and the burritos (2 of them) were made incorrectly… we didn’t want to have to wait another 25 mins for a remake, and they were super busy as well so we just let it go without saying anything.. accidents happen! Totally get it…. But then, we Ordered four Burritos yesterday, all identical, and 3 out of the 4 were missing ingredients 😢
This might not be a huge deal but it’s not an isolated incident at this point and I just want what we are paying for. Of course we didn’t know this until we were all the way back home and it just wouldn’t have been doable to drive all the way back out there. Needless to say, these burritos were a huge disappointment. I won’t be writing them off because they really are a favorite of ours but I guess we will just have to start unwrapping burritos before we leave or something 🤷🏼‍♀

Food is delicious! Generous portions, friendly staff. I gave it a 4 because it hasn't been consistent. I've ordered the same burrito 3 times, each time it's different. Either in size or amount/lack of guac. Some burritos are so wet they fall apart after 2 bites. But again, suuuper good flavor and size

This has became our new favorite place for burritos! Must try!!

I've gotten the burritos, they're alright but the main part is they're massive.

I just got the carne asada fries... Probably my biggest disappointment of carne asada fries I've ever had. 95% of the togo container is fries, very little carne asada, a thin layer of guac, and some randon slap on of sour cream.. cheese is clearly cheap pre packaged cheese that wasn't even melted. Avoid their fries at all cost to save your money.

One of the best Mexican food places around. Beyond tasty food

Truly an amazing fusion of Sinalao Mexican and Filipino food. This hot spot is a popular place for those who like tasty Mexican food. How can you tell it's a great place? The first time I went, there was literally all San Marcos first responders, still in their uniforms, with the big red truck and even an ambulance tucked in the parking lot. The men happily ordered and left with their food. I would've volunteered to carry their food too, but they had it handled. But back to the food. Do you like fries? Carne asada? Longanisa? Then try the Pac Man special. And if you're hungry, get the medium size because, no joke, this you can split with a friend and it will fill you up. Whatever you get, plan on it being delicious and bountiful.

Used to be very good a year ago, especially the steak. Now it just tastes like any other Mexican Restaurant (bland, not enough marinade?). Please go back to whatever original recipe or cooking you guys did before then because something changed. Other than that, I won’t be coming back unfortunately. I use to travel all the way to Mira Mesa’s Sayulitas and was super stoked about this one opening here in San Marcos.

Burrito sizes are inconsistent, most of the times I pay around $23 for a specialty burrito, flavor is great but most of the time I’m given a burrito the size of a burrito I can get anywhere else for $13. Not sure if it’s the cook or management but burritos used to be huge (like the picture with the burrito with the fries), I’m not sure what happened. I stopped going to this location since I feel I’m overpaying for a regular sized burrito.

Both burritos on the pictures are the same (bolt). As you can see one of them is significantly smaller than the other. Hopefully they can go back to their old ways.

Best burritos every time Im gonna order i have th hardest time because everything is so insanely boombb. I'm drooling as i type this and also sweating because that light green sauce got me again!!!! <3 you guys

Paid $20 for large carne asada fries. Asked for no cheese, they made it wrong. Sent it back and what came back was half the size. Less meat, less fries. Got punished for their mistake. See the photos, night and day difference from what they normally serve. $20 is enough money to feed two people and here it’s it can barely get you enough for 1. I’ll attach below what they normally vs what they gave me.
