Fraud! I applied to block c and they took a literal month for my application and gave me 24 hours for stuff not on the application or else they would cancel. They would tell me to go to the bank on Friday at 5:30 pm and had to give them the stuff they need on Saturday which banks aren’t open… let alone calling out from work constantly to get all these things that weren’t even on the application beforehand and being told they have what I needed just to add more that evening hours after I confirmed with the office if there was anything else they needed while I was out. They never even ran a credit check and would refuse to answer, but would call when I’m working so I go to call back just to be sent to voicemail. They wanted me to have my current complex call them to verify living there instead of reaching out themselves and due to it being Christmas I was unable to have my complex call (nobody was working obviously) so I had to pull my application since it was taking forever and they were adding more and more even when my application online said complete. I was moving due to my roommate stealing my identity and stealing thousands so I needed to move asap and I ended up being scammed by them as well (mandatory $300 holding fee + 2 application fees)…months later I find out they didn’t even run a credit check even though they had WEEKS to do it. Insane since I loved the place and now myself along with others willing to move in asap are staying away. I can already tell THEYRE going to claim they called me or to email them but every time I call they do not answer but they can call me once while I’m working so when I call back I get sent to voicemail. On top of that I emailed and they had the office lady call just to say they can’t refund me and to call back(which like I said I got sent to voicemail). I still have the voicemail as well from the last time they tried calling when I was at work. I gave up on returning the calls since they just simply don’t answer.

Rolex was always on time, very polite and was in and out of the house. He was also very helpful and letting us know why our dishwasher wasn’t working. I also loved his positive attitude. Overall great experience.

Arguably the best place I could have asked for as a college student. This apartment has everything you could want. Just downstairs there is a coffee place, Ice cream, and restaurant. I haven't had any issues with partying college people so far or any excessive noise besides the obvious construction going on across the road. It is very convenient to live here everything needed is right around the corner grocery stores along with gas stations and restaurants as well. I have also had a great experience with the staff here. Samantha, Nikki, and Albany are all great people. I have built up a strong connection with all three of them and they have been nothing but awesome in the build-up process of moving in and living here. Any questions that you need answered they answer. I have not had any issues with them responding promptly at all so far! In my personal experience living here has been nothing but a blessing so far and I hope to continue my residency feeling the same way. I am also a frequent user of the guest passes that are offered for guests staying overnight and they have never shown any signs of not being glad to help me out!

ABSOLUTELY PRIME LOCATION. I went to school in the area, I worked in the community, and I lived here. What more could I ask for. There is a great sushi place, great coffee place, great bar/restaurant all in the building or a 1 minute walk. A cowork across the street that allows day passes and memberships for working in their office. It was sooo convenient to be able to walk everywhere. I never felt like I had to drive unless I went to Ralph’s for groceries (which is a 3 minute drive). All of these places have such friendly staff.I initially took a tour at Block C with Samantha, and I loved how helpful, friendly, and informative she was! My dad and I loved how clean/safe the property was.The community manager, Erica, made it super easy for me to switch apartments.I ended up living there for 2.5 years and loved every second (especially for my first time living out of the house). All of the leasing ladies were so helpful and always answered any of my questions. Nikki and Albany would always get back to me within a reasonable amount of time even when it seemed super hectic in the office.There was a point where I needed to call the maintenance team and I was genuinely surprised at how fast they helped me out! They definitely eased my concerns and made me feel like a priority!! And they were even helpful during my move out process.I seriously I loved having a leasing team downstairs that were always so willing and happy to help me out.I’m sad to be leaving honestly everything about living there was so convenient. I recommend it to most young professionals.

The maintenance team at Block C is very good with their turnaround. Such a great team here. They always respond right away and get the situation handled efficiently. Alexander is the best, he very kind, super knowledgeable, and gets things handled quickly. Happy to have such a great team whenever I need them.

My review goes out to Alex, the technician. There was a new lock that was installed to all of the apartment doors today, and there was an issue with the lock pad that was installed on my door. The machine was not working because the code that I was given was NOT unlocking my door as well as the app was NOT unlocking my door. I was locked out of my apartment. Alex stayed for THREE WHOLE HOURS to fix the machine and make sure I'm able to unlock and lock my door. I hope this issue does not happen again, as I was very pleased with the old lock on my apartment door. But I will definitely be contacting Alex again for his kind and patient assistance.

We toured 5 properties in the same day from Mission Valley through San Marcos. Block C was our last stop and we were the most impressed with the floor plans compared to other places that have more walls than floors. We fell in love and the staff were so bubbly and knowledgeable. Our sister-in-law lives here and recommended it to us. We applied in less than 2 hours from when we left even though we were exhausted. We appreciate all the work they're putting in to help us get approved while we're selling our house

During my 1 year lease they posted over 20 notices that they would be entering my apartment for maintenance.Maintenance also entered my apartment twice without notifying me.Closer to the end of my lease, during the weekday, maintenance unlocked my door and entered without proper notification (I also happened to be inside). They ended up telling me I needed to leave immediately (no exaggeration here) and that my apartment would be uninhabitable for about 1 week. That was extended twice and amounted to nearly 1 full month. They did nothing to accommodate me, nor did they accept terminating my lease early. The reason given after I returned was “Builders Defect”. There was no visual problems inside my unit, nor had they notified me of any issues prior to them letting themselves inside my home and letting me know that I needed to leave immediately.When I spoke with management or reached out to MG Properties Corporate, they couldn’t of done a better job at letting me know that they didn’t care one bit, and that they would violate my rights as a tenant to privacy, safety, and security.Throughout my lease I paid rent 1 month in advance. As my last month’s rent approached, I verified the credit in RentCafe was equal to the final amount due via the website. The following morning I had a 3 day notice to vacate taped to my door with red tape. They gave me a late fee for their error.During my lease move-out inspection I announced an issue with the paperwork. It was marked for a one bedroom cleaning fee, when I lived in a studio. The maintenance staff corrected it before I signed. After moving out, I was still charged the higher rate for a 1 bedroom cleaning fee.Do your research on MG Properties. I will never touch another place that is involved with them.Unit rented #443
