The Huntington Library have a few choices for your appetite when visiting. The 1919 Cafe is further in on the grounds. It is a very nice cafeteria with comfortable seating both inside and out. The menu options are varied and since I took the Grandkids here I can attest that it has a little of something for everyone. Service at the counter was helpful and quick. I like that I have the membership because I find that if I'm with the little ones and they are bored at home I can come in to grab something to eat with a reservation into the Library! It’s comfortable to dine here, and the service staff is very nice, but the food is too expensive. We ordered pizza, grilled vegetables, coffee, and a bottle of water, and it cost 33 US dollars. Two slices of pizza cost 17 US dollars. Is it too expensive? ?It is recommended to provide some affordable menus, otherwise everyone will have to prepare their own meals!

The Huntington Rose Garden Tea Room is one of my favorite places in LA now. I told them that we were visiting to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday ahead of time, and they gave us the perfect outdoor table by the garden and brought us an extra little birthday cake to celebrate. The service and the ambience were impeccable, and the tea and food were absolutely fabulous. Will definitely be returning and recommending to all of my friends and family who come to visit!

Came here with my parents and had a great tea! Food was surprisingly delicious with a bunch of different little bites to try. The best part was sitting out on the patio with the sun streaming down and a view of the flowers with the sound of the fountain in the background. Servers were polite and kind as well. Afterward it's nice to walk off the food around the gardens! Would 100% recommend and will be coming back!

This is a lovely venue for dining - tea service. We visited celebrating our birthdays. Sat outside facing the herb garden, you can't find a nicer place to enjoy tea. They only have 2 set prix meals and we selected the Huntington. Everything was beautifully served and delicious. Ended up taking some home. The service was impeccable... just the right amount of attention. They even did a special dessert celebrating our special day. Will plan on many more visits to this special venue.

I made a reservation for outdoor seating and they confirmed it with me 3 times, but when I arrived they said there was no more outdoor seating. What's the point of making a reservation (and confirming it multiple times) if they aren't going to honor it?

The new tea room is fabulous! Beautifully decorated, wonderful service, delightful atmosphere, delicious food. It is, however, quite expensive (too expensive, really). But for a treat, it was lovely and we enjoyed the experience, right up until the bill came.
The food was good and luckily we got placed outside on the pavilion where the view was serene and gorgeous away from a screaming baby inside the dining room. Best seats in the house! It was tranquil and the whole experience was nice enough. The service could be better, we had to ask for hot water refills a lot and they also took a long time to check us out. Additionally, they called incessantly afterwards when we apparently didn't sign the correct sheet. Neither receipt had merchant or customer copy, so we just signed one.
I have always wanted to try the Rose Garden Tea Room. It was everything I was expecting. Edgar was the perfect waiter for us newbies. He explained how it all works and even offered to take a picture of us. The Prosecco was perfect and the food was amazing. The Earl Grey Crème tea was yummy and all the sandwiches, scones, tarts and chocolates were delicious. We will definitely be back!

The tea room was elegant. I had the basic tea and it was quite filling, the food was everything I expected it to be. I really appreciated that they let all of us choose our own flavor of tea and kept refilling our tea pots. It was a beautiful experience.

Wonderful experience. First timers for me and my daughters. Everything was delicious and beautiful, and the service was excellent. I'm afraid I may have ruined the high tea experience for my girls as I think they'd be less than impressed should they go anywhere else!
