Closed. For lease sign in window. Had been an institution on Huntington Drive especially for breakfast and lunch. With COVID challenges for any restaurant it may not find another new owner to take over this 50+ year business in San Marino. Yet another business loss for the city in the last two years.

Nice little place for brunch if you get up late on the weekend.Only remark is the cleanliness of the place (flies and water stain smell). Otherwise easy 5 stars.

Warm service and the place is managed with care. Hope it is open again soon! Cute decor with throwback to vintage diners. I recommend getting the pancakes.

Was in the neighborhood and thought I would stop here in spite of the recent bad reviews. Didn't get the chance as they have a temporary closure notice from the health department for " Rodent infestation " I won't be returning

I haven't been to "The Grill" in years. It was one of my Granny's favorites. Yesterday my daughters suggested we go for a late breakfast/early lunch. The food in the photos above are not real! Here's a list: 1. There was a hair in my cold greasy hash browns. 2. There was an actual small dirt clod in my daughter's salad. 3. A bug crawled out of my overcooked cold eggs. The waiter was actually standing there and when I said something and pointed, he just swooshed it away. 4. I had to ask four times for my toast and when it came there was no butter Which would have been fine if there was butter/jam on the table. 5. My daughter ordered a BLT and asked to add turkey. She got a very wilted turkey burger with a slice of "Buddig" turkey on it? 6. I asked for my bacon to be well done. It was cold and almost raw. 7. My other daughter ordered a tuna sandwich. It was the only thing she ate all day. A few hours later she didn't feel well and spent the rest of the afternoon and night throwing up and having diarrhea. We may be going to the ER for extreme food poisoning if she doesn't start to feel better in the next few hours. She is still very sick. 8. First they told us they didn't have any eggs. Then they came back and said the found two. We were the only customers for most of the time there and the service was still horrible. When we mentioned the hair, dirt and bug, they just shrugged it off. I think it's time for the Health Department to make a visit. It's obvious that whoever owns The San Marino Grill now doesn't give a s*it. I pray that they turn the business over to someone who cares. It is my understanding that they are listed on Several Delivery apps under several different names so my guess is they were busy cooking food for the "Alias Restaurants" and don't give a sh*t about actual in person customers. The health department has been notified.

The Everything breakfast and the BBQ chicken sandwich were not good. Except for the mushrooms which were great.

I stopped here to drink a coffee. I was not very happy with it, I should come back and have something else.

If you yearn for a good old fashioned Greasy Spoon restaurant this is the place. Everything was greasy including the actual menu. Very disappointed.

This place makes great chicken salads. The owner/cook was very attentive and eager to please his customers. Its also in a great location. We will be back for sure.

Went today and enjoyed a Turkey club sandwich. Great Lunch special came with a salad, fruit, and a drink. The Bacon was delicious in my sandwich. Now I want to come back for a bacon breakfast burrito. Thanks Albert!! I look forward to next time.

This place is serving food as Burrito Affirmation on Uber Eats. The food is absolutely disgusting and inedible. Tater tots were a dark brown almost black color and soaked in oil. Burritos were not properly wrapped and filled with huge pieces of greasy undercooked bacon. Never again!

This morning I went for the first time to San Marino Grill with my sister in law, who is here visiting from Germany! Wanted to treat her for a good American breakfast! The Cafe opened at 9:30 am and we were the first customers! After being seated it took a very long time for the owner/server/cook, who was the only person in the Cafe to take our order! We both ordered the Eggs Benedict at $15.95 and coffee at $3.95 a cup! Shortly after, another couple entered and were seated! We waited at least 15 minutes before we received our coffee and about 35 minutes to get our Eggs Benedict! The hash brown potatoes that were served with the eggs were cold! The English muffins not toasted, the Canadian bacon stale and the Hollandaise sauce a mixture of lemony curdled sauce, definitely not a Hollandaise! I called the server/owner/cook back and told him that the potatoes were cold and the muffins not toasted! He took the plates back and we waited again....I was about to give up and just leave when he returned with two new plates! The hash brown potatoes were reheated but more greasy, the muffins still not toasted and the lemony curdled sauce cold! It was the worst breakfast I ever had in my life! We both could not eat it! Paid $43.14 for this horrible meal! Never again!!

This place is selling as "Brekkie Bagels" on DoorDash. You can tell by the food that the oil they use to deep fry is bad and the griddle is dirty. It was not edible. I threw it out and called DoorDash for a full refund. I also once ordered from "egghead burritos" and threw that away, too. After reading a few of the other comments, I learned this place fulfills those orders. From now on, I will research before ordering. It's unfortunate because the branding is on point, but the execution is a zero.

They must have changed owners. What a disappointing experience. Coffee taste burnt, everything is sold separately . Sweet potato fries taste oily. Service terrible. Our food came out at different times. My sons scrambled eggs burnt. They warmed up my daughters Turkey on her club sandwich. Please sell or get a real chef. Cutting cost is doing no justice!
