Wow, who expect you could find healthy, delicious food inside a mall? This might be one of the best quick sandwich spots I’ve been to recently. Fair prices, fresh ingredients, and easily the best food option in this mall.
We tried the grilled chicken and the turkey salami sandwiches, both were excellent. I didn’t get to try their pastries yet, but if they’re anything like the sandwiches, they’re probably worth it.
Plenty of seating, so it’s an easy spot to relax and enjoy your meal. Definitely a go-to for a quick, tasty bite while shopping.

They put advertisements all around the shopping mall. But there is no indication of which direction to go. Can't you put a direction arrow on those advertisements?
Went here with my parents for an afternoon snack. The store is clean and has indoor and outdoor seating. I mainly came here because I wanted to try one of the seasonal items. The lady who helped us was nice but didn't provide us with any recommendations on items.
We chose to sit outside even if it was a little windy.
1. Matcha melon pan: Deliciously tasty. It was light, and I loved the little crust on the outer shell. No shortage on matcha filling, which I loved, and it had the lightly sweet melon flavor.
2. Mango coconut pastry: I usually alternate between this and the strawberry tart.
3. Walnut cream cheese bread: My mom's favorite snack, a classic staple here.
4. Chicken empanadas: My mom's favorite here as well. Nice chicken filling that leaves her stuffed.
5. Cinnamon sugar danish bar: I got this for my dad thinking it was similar to a donut stick, but it ended up being dry and uneventful.

Stop here to get an apple pie pastry every time I am at Hillsdale Mall. Quality is inconsistent but the ingredients are the same. Thick sliced apples in a lattice pastry. When it’s fresh the pastry just breaks apart nicely. What I got was probably day old as it was harder to chew. Service is average. Also, I am insulted when I see the tip screen at checkout. You are asking me to tip you for just handing me the item that I selected over the counter?
Made me wait 15 minutes for a coffee while the store was otherwise empty.
Service was extremely slow and the staff was sassy and rude. I feel like the management there also lacks ethics and care for the job and customers. Also, look at how much chicken they put in this sandwich.

Their sandwiches are so good, esp my fave Harvest Chicken salad on sourdough cranberry walnut is to die for! Clam chowder is also great their pastries & bread are freshly baked daily. It can use a little bit of upgrade inside including outdoor patio furniture but I’d rather eat here than any cafes in San Mateo 😊
We waited for quite a while and the Matcha Latte and normal Latte were so bad, we ended up throwing them out!

Delicious sandwiches! Bakery items all looked delicious too. We took our sandwiches to the outdoor patio area by the fountains.

This used to be a nice store for sit down sandwiches. Now its just an almost bare bakery. I sincerely hope that it returns to its past glory
