Quiet enough for conversation, really been several times with lady friends for lunches. Never rushed, wine choices ample (prices by glass 1/2 off weekdays 12pm - mid-afternoons). Yes, bruschetta excellent choices and flavors, platter four large ones great for sharing Salads yummy. Parking very convenient next door in 2 story inexpensive SM city lot -- upper story access on 4th Ave around corner if 1st floor full. Everything here speaks of comfort food, friendly, great value.
Dive-esque little bar next to the Attic restaurant (meh), is decent to grab a drink earlier in the evening, but gets loud and sticky almost immediately at 5 PM on weekends. Drinks are OK, nothing remarkable, service is the same.

A sign caught our eye when we were walking around down town for $1 oysters and we knew we had to make a stop in. Considering it was happy hour, the place was pretty empty, which was to our advantage since we didn't have to wait and we got a table immediately. We got a dozen oysters (I forgot what kind they were), but they were delicious and tasted really fresh. They were a bit on the small side and I wanted more, but we were going to dinner soon.
