We recently ate here and ordered the Suyuk, Jabchae, and Dolsot Bibimbap. The meat quality was good, and the food was acceptable, but the Suyuk was a bit disappointing considering its price.
However, the overall vibe just didn't work for us. The waiting and ordering process felt disorganized. It was a bit uncomfortable to even hear direct complaints from the shops next door while we were outside. Despite its popularity, the restaurant felt too cramped with too many tables. And while there were plenty of servers busy, it seemed like no one was actively serving us when we needed assistance.
It also seemed to attract primarily a younger clientele.

Definitely on the weaker side for Yukhwe. My friend and I felt that the meat was too lean! Presentation is ok, but the service is very nice! Limited variety of banchan, but I appreciated that they weren't very salty! The gochujang tastes different from store bought ones.

Daeho is always fantastic! I highly recommend getting the cheese and tteokbokki/rice cakes added. I personally am okay with spice levels 0 to 2, 3 and 4 are crazy for me! Both the beef and oxtail are fantastic.

First time being here! The food is delicious. The wait time wasn’t too bad. Make sure you put your name on the waitlist.
It’s a bit confusing process. Not everyone knows this. You need to place an order before getting a seat. Do it right after you put your name on the waitlist.
Go inside and line up to place your order. I’m guessing this speed up the process of getting your food ready by the time you are seated.
I wasn’t aware of that you have to pay $1 to pack your left over. They do pack it for you and put the food in the box. I kind of wished they would inform about this first before charging us.
I went there 5 times, today I ordered take out but San Mateo downtown is so packed spent 20 mins couldn’t find a single spot. I called and asked if I parked in front of the restaurant temporarily, could they help deliver the meal to me. I was literally in front of the restaurant but they refused to spent 3 seconds to give me the meal. I ended up took another 20 minutes to find a parking lot 4 blocks away and walked back to pick up the meal🙃

Food is good but it is getting smaller and smaller portions. You order before you sit down. And once you sit food is almost there. Service is decent but it's a rush when your done you are expecting to leave since on weekend there is usually a line.
