As a regular at Moons for years, I was bummed to see it sold, and was closed for a bit. But wow, what a revamp! Still same dive bar feel, but it's CLEAN, and has a much better beer and liquor selection. Glad to still see some of the same familiar faces behind the bar, and love the new staff from the new owner. Nice and cozy sports bar in the heart of the San Mateo restaurant district. Right next to the Century Theater and many restaurants so you can have a drink before and after a movie or dinner or post work drinks with your awesome favorite coworkers lol. Good amount of bar seating (12ish) and a few booths of you wanna sit down and chat and gossip about work, life or whatever suits your needs. The bar is really chill, vibe is nice, vintage 90s era. The nice bartender even gave me a free soda after I forgot to bring my credit card and couldn’t Apple Pay. Will come again!
