4 of us had dinner at Flores of San Mateo on a Saturday, and food was very tasteful. Ordered a pitcher of margaritas and what a disappointment it was, almost no flavor and overpriced, we have ordered drinks Flores before and it has always been a disappointment. From now on, I'm just ordering food and water. Would recommend eating at Flores but skip the alcohol at Flores.

I made a reservation and included that it was a birthday on the open table reservation. I even mentioned to our server that my guest just flew into town and it was her birthday. At the end of the meal there was no birthday dessert presented and our server said we had to ask for it. It was an awkward moment since it was made on the OpenTable reservation and discussed prior to us placing our food selections with our server. We even discussed where she had flown in from.

No doubt, the atmospher in Flores in the Hillsdale Mall is beautiful. Service is always top-notch and the food is tasty and shows innovation and a certain creative flair. A great experience everytime!

It was just loud and I think the tag team the waiters have is not great as one waiter isn't always in sync with the other. Got a bit slow

Our dinner was super delicious. Love the guacamole, chips and salsa choices!! Love the fish tacos also. My husband really enjoyed his birthday treat of a tequila flight. Thank you Alex.

Such a pretty restaurant, so open and airy, cool murals. Always a warm welcome from our favorite waiter Ivan, so, nice and service excellent. We had another great meal. We shared the ensalada mixta, romaine, black beans, corn bell pepper and avacado. We added grilled chicken no quinoa substituted lime jalapeño dressing, so good and plenty. We had 4 tacos, 2 carnitas and 2 grilled fish. Both good, but, we loved the fish tacos. My husband had a beer and I had awesome sangria.

We came here to eat for a girls dinner. Our waiter was great and the food was very good. I love the ambience it was super cute and the decor was nice. I would definitely come again.

A bad experience. The fish and chicken were overcooked. Apparently, I was given an old menu with an obsolete drink price. When the bill came and I complained about the charge to the waitress, she told me I was mistaken and showed me a new menu. Luckily the website still had the old price and I took it up with the manager and got refunded the difference.
Absolutely disgusting. I ordered two orders of the chicken enchilada, and something went terribly wrong. Each dish comes with two enchiladas. In my first bite of enchilada I got cartilage, tendon, and skin and I spit it out immediately. I tried the second piece of enchilada and the first bite was fine but in the second bite I got a small piece of bone. In my partner’s enchilada, his first enchilada was great. In his second enchilada, it was the exact same thing of cartilage and bone. This is absolutely absurd. For it to happen in both orders and in 3/4 enchiladas, something is definitely wrong. I don’t know if they switched to cheaper chickens or a different supplier, but this should not be happening. I’ve been to their restaurant multiple times and ordered their enchiladas and they have been perfect every time. This is the first time it’s happened.

I was invited by friends (past clients) to a brunch, and since they wanted to try a newer place for a change, they picked flowers ("Flores" translated - pun intended). In any case, the place being new makes it all the nicer. But the service was a bit off and perhaps it was just that day. Or who knows because we don't go there regularly. The waiter wasn't as open and friendly. And the selection off mail was more california special than they all thought. It was believed to be mexican but they didn't have a variety of mexican dishes - Menudo? Huevos rancheros, etc. I've recently had to alter my protein intake and that made picking an alternative a bit challenging with the limits on this menu. The place had a good attendant, so maybe that's what made the service a little bit slow. But for the 5 people in our party, the place came off time and some had their food before others and my order, what's not as apetizing as I might have imagined it. The place looks nice, but, maybe their dinner menu has more variety... #TheBrokerWithAHeart
