I’ve been coming here for 15 years - it is without a doubt my absolute favorite place to eat. If you’re new, try the beef teriyaki bowl with broccoli and pasta salad. This is a family-owned business with the original philosophy of making healthy, affordable, high-quality food available to the working class. The legacy is carried on — and the dishes are just extremely delicious.Give it a try - you won’t be disappointed.

Today's meat is not fresh. We ordered beef terirakr, pork bowl and rib eye bowl. They all stink today. This is the 3rd time we ate here. The first two times was really good. Not coming here

Quality of food has gone down since ownership changes. The food here used to be really really tasty. The quality of the meat and portions are getting smaller! Really unfortunate.

Super tasty chicken yakisoba. Hard to find yakisoba around here, but this really hit the spot. To-go only, but the prices are a great value for the area. Friendly, hard-working staff. I can't wait to come back!

My new favorite teriyaki place in california. I ordered the ? teriyaki and the ? sukiyaki bowl and both were delicious. Good portions, fresh and well cooked. Appears to be a mom and pop type of place and not a franchise. There was no indoor seating, mainly takout. The people were friendly and even the patrons picked up on the mom and pop vibe amd everyone was cool. It does appear to get very busy during lunch. I called and no one picked up, but was able to place an online order and was able to pick the food with no issues in about 20 minutes.

I have always seen a line of patrons at this take-out and have had it on a "must visit" list. Ordered the Karaage Chicken Bento box. The wait was well deserved, the people extremely friendly despite the number of patrons. As the photo shows, the portions are generous. Honestly, this was my first Karaage Chicken and I did enjoy the CRISPINESS and flavor.

A small hole-in-the-wall place. Fast service. Not fancy. Food is good.

Rice bowls are decently priced and tasty. I've gone there regularly and usually get the chicken terriyaki. Full disclosure, they do have skin on the chicken so you can request them to remove it if you're watching the fat. Also, I would recommend the pork donburi: really tasty!

Kaz Grill is a takeout. It's not fast food as they cook to order. Food is delicious and priced comfortably. There are spots in front to sit down & enjoy.

Coming from Seattle, it's hard to find a teriyaki place that comes close to Seattle Teriyaki. However, this is the best place I've found so far! It's in downtown San Mateo so parking situation is generally all angled street. This place is conveniently located on a corner where you enter one door for ordering and go through another to pick it up; it's not that big of a spot, no seating room. Cashier was friendly and promptly took my order. Food took about ten mins to come out despite a bunch of people ordering before and after me! I could probably do with a bit more meat for the amount of rice you get and for the price you pay. However, I'd definitely come back

Or go to for Japanese chicken curry over rice.No parking except for street and the garage around the corner. As with all Japanese curry it's slightly sweet and a nice heat afterwards very mellow and tasty
