A place like home for dining. I loved the rice, it was cooked perfectly. It’s soft and fluffy, the texture is on point for my taste. The fragrance and taste were not overpowering, which made it go very well with the fried chicken and beans.
I love Maria's restaurant, they have the best pupusas in San Mateo. The staff are always friendly too! I recommend trying rice flower pupusas if you've never had them before. If you eat em while they're hot, they're as good as regular pupusas and it's a nice change of pace. Also, their horchata de moro is great, but their horchata al coco was surprisingly even better!
All the food is very delicious but the service is terrible, the waiters are arrogant, I think it's because the food is very good, but if they had better customer service it would be different and they take a long time to prepare the food.
