There are no words that can describe how good and fast food/service is. Food was hot and fresh, service was quick, and the young lady was so kind to me. 10/10 will definitely come back.

This will be the last time I eat at Hillsdale. Water machines are all broken, Sarku can't manage to give me a cup of water. Recommend eating anywhere else. Easy to understand why the mall is going out of business.

Worst customer service. I ordered chicken teriyaki before leaving the mall. Got home to eat it and the chicken was not done, pink and goeey. So I decided to try to cook it some more before driving all the way back to the mall. Well, that didn’t help at all. So I drove all the way back to the mall, explained what happened and I can not believe the attitude and continuous push back I recieved on how I ordered it an hour ago and it looked fine. The looks they gave me. They way she slammed and pushed my food down the line and rushed me to get it (with a customer in front of me) The only reason I’m didn’t push back is because I knew that’s what they expected and wanted. I smiled, got my food and immediately ran to make this review!

Love the North Riverside location they’re always delicious and the customer service is friendly and welcoming to say the least.

Waited a while to get our food which we didn’t mind BUT when our number was called I stepped up to get my order and the worker packaging and handing out the food looked me up and down and asked me for my receipt as if I was trying to steal the food that I’d JUST PURCHASED. Mind you I had the cup with the logo FROM HIS RESTAURANT IN MY HAND!!! I stood there and he NEVER asked the following 3 Hispanic customers for their receipt prior to handing them their food. Disrespectful to say the least and I made sure to let him know that I saw and felt the disrespect.

I have been going to the one in Pensacola Florida since I was a child and have always had a great experience. Delicious food, so consistent every time.

Save your money if you come to this location. I would highly recommend going to any of the South Bay locations, specifically great mall or valley fair. I didn’t check my order until I got home because it was all bagged up for pickup and when I got home I glared upon a sad plate.Im from the South Bay so I been to different locations and none have looked like this one . I even took a bite out of the rice (which is why my fork is placed on the empty spot )and it’s now even as fluffy as the ones from the South Bay.I would suggest the great mall or valley fair location 😮‍💨,they know wassup.

I am giving this a 1 star review because my food arrived with a bite taken out of it. I do not know if this was the restaurant or the DoorDash driver who delivered it. But if it was the DoorDasher, I recommend the store does something to prevent this. A lot of places staple bags closed now so the end customer knows it has not been tampered with by a delivery driver. Either way, very disheartening to receive food with a bite taken out of it. If not for that, I would give this place 4 stars. The value is pretty good for the price.

My go-to at Sarku Japan is their salmon avocado roll. I have occasionally tried other menu items like their shrimp tempura and chicken teriyaki, which I have found to be a bit bland or not worth the price, like something that could be heated up at home. However, their salmon avocado roll is very good for me. I always get it when I come here, and while it isn't always fresh, the taste is consistent and flavorful. The employees are very quick with orders, too, unless it gets busy. Overall, it is a fine place to go for sushi.

I ordered the chicken teriyaki, steamed rice and veges, food was great... just wish the veges can be steamed a bit more. waaay better than Kaz teriyaki.
