Disordered place, this is not Japanese noodle at all, more like Asian fusion noodles, not delicious. 25 dollars for such bad taste is definitely not worth it.
Really salty
The food is pretty good but the service is just not there. No menu introduction, refused to seat us in roomy seats despite not having that many people in at all, and rushed us to order food. Also super awkward when the waitress literally stared at us when we selected 18% tips (unwillingly). It really made us uncomfortable.
solid food
Special charcoal grilled scent makes this place unique. Same price for different size of house made noodle with flour from Hokkaido
Really really great ramen shop. The service was super quick and friendly. Was seated immediately at the bar top, and a server brought me water right away. I took a second to read their small menu, and decided quickly. The server knew I was ready, and was there as soon as I put my menu down. The ramen was great- the grilled pork belly was incredible. The flavor was unlike any pork belly I’ve had before. Broth was good, and noodles were very satisfying.
Highly suggest checking them out!
Excellent ramen shop that's maybe underrated. Excellent rich thick chicken broth with aromatic oil that really brings out the umami. I would recommend cold dipping noodle version in even more concentrated hot broth for the deeper flavors. What a treat. Very pleasantly surprised. And portions of noodle are already included in the bar price. The XL noodle portion really filled me to the brim 🤣 in the most satisfying ways 👍 totally worth the visit and have to return for SURE , 5 stars. Serving team is excellent and very knowledgeable. Ask them about the history to learn more about the food and history👌
It’s a surprise that they provide hot served noodle for tsukemen, this prevents the sauce from getting cold and greasy after dipped a few rounds 👏
Second visit: Tried shugetsu ramen, also worth trying I would say.
Gave us some bull about not having soup left at 8 pm just cause they wanted to close!
Plus it looks dirty, maybe health department should check it out!
If you don’t wanna work stay home!
Don’t eat here!
Great ramen soup (got the grilled pork belly one) and tsukemen and noodles were fresh. A plus that upsizing is the same price as regular! One star off for the service as the server was not very polite and only told us retrospectively as we were paying on the machine that we were not allowed to select custom tip % and requested a certain tip % for a party of six.

Nice and cozy place for ramen. Highly recommended!
Was seated in 10 min on a weekday night, the food came out quickly, broth was so so delicious and the noodles were perfectly chewy, the server was kind and hospitable, overall 10/10 experience
This place seems authentic- flavorful and gives you plenty of noodles (choice of 200g 300g etc). Small but seating wasn’t an issue during a weekday lunch.
a unique take on tsukemen for the bay area, great portions and good value. noodles had good texture, broth was a bit more oily than I’d prefer but overall I’m glad I ate here
I thought it was a takeaway spot because of the small doors, but they actually have spacious seatings inside. The restaurant was decorated in warm lights with cute Japanese decorations. The staff were really friendly and attentive. The food came quick after ordering.
We ordered one Spicy Miso Tsukemen with Marinated Egg, one Shugetsu Ramen and one Charcoal Grilled Pork Belly Rice Bowl. They were all so delicious and well-flavored. I preferred the Tsukemen here compared to Taishoken. It was just more flavorful, and you got to get more soup after finishing the noodles. The ramen was also good, but the pork belly rice bowl was what I liked best 😋👍 I didn’t expect the black sauce to be sweet, but pairing with the salted grilled pork belly and steamed rice was absolute delish!
