Went in today to order with friends. We were the only ones in line and patiently waiting about 2 feet away from the cash register to place our order. An old man comes in and creeps right next to us. As soon as a cashier comes to take our order, the old man jumps in front of us and starts ordering. I inform the man that there is a line and he tells me that he knows and he was here first. It blew my mind because he literally walked in after us and just went in front us in front of the cashier. Instead of the employee helping us out in the situation she ignores us and takes the man's order without even telling him that he should wait in line. Poor training, service, and terrible employee. Was so upset about the situation we just left.

I enjoy coming to this Starbucks location because of the ambiance the employees create. The employees here are incredibly kind and make my day better! They never miss with the drinks I've ordered in the past years. Keep it up!! :)

As someone who doesn't typically indulge in Starbucks daily, my recent experience at the Starbucks at 54 E. 4th Avenue was exceptional. I was in a coffee dilemma when my trusty home coffee maker broke down and required a month-long wait for a replacement part. To say I was desperate for my caffeine fix is an understatement.During this trying time, I ordered Starbucks from several different locations, but it was the 4th Avenue Starbucks that truly won me over.My first visit to this particular Starbucks was memorable. A kind woman who turned out to be an employee on her break generously allowed me to go ahead of her in line. We struck up a pleasant conversation, setting the stage for what would become my go-to Starbucks location.What truly set 54 E. 4th Avenue apart was its incredible early-morning staff. Every visit was met with warm and welcoming smiles, and the service was consistently friendly and efficient. Despite my frequent visits, I never felt like an inconvenience. The staff always made it a point to ask for my name and promptly prepared my beverage, creating a personal and inviting atmosphere.Now, here comes the bittersweet part of my review. Our home coffee maker has been repaired, so I'll head to Starbucks less often. However, when that undeniable Starbucks craving hits, there's no doubt that I'll be making my way back to 4th Avenue. It's where exceptional service and a friendly atmosphere make even occasional Starbucks drinkers like me feel at home.Thank you, 54 E. 4th Avenue Starbucks, for being my coffee savior during a challenging month. You've earned a loyal customer, and I look forward to returning whenever I need a coffee pick-me-up.

I came here a couple of times while in Downtown San Mateo. The shop offers no dine-in experience as there’s no tables at all. Not that I mind because I always order to-go via app and come to pick up.The drinks are always fast. Every time I order while 5 mins away, they’re always ready by the time I come.Today, I came to get my birthday treats from the app offers, and got greeted by a nice staff. He wished me Happy birthday!I’m at that age of not celebrating my birthday anymore, but it’s nice to hear someone saying that on your special day.Parking: Limited street parking and plenty of public parking lots nearby
No tables, no outlets, no bathrooms, and no drive thru to justify a “to-go” starbucks. Mad I just paid for 45 min of parking to find this out.

I just paid for parking out front here to come in and work for an hour between meetings, and all of the tables have been removed and the outlets covered... I guess it's now a "to-go" starbucks (with no drive-thru)?? I guess I can't count on Starbucks establishments when traveling as a place for a pick me up and email catch up anymore. Bummer. Last Starbucks visit for me I guess. What a way to learn a lesson...

Good coming here for years but i guess it made things easier for them trust me all for that. Work hard for not the money deserve to get paid and always friendly.Each the tables or places to eat are gone it looked sort of like a broke down Starbucks when used to be normal. ??
