Complaint Regarding Denial of Birthday Reward and Store Manager’s Behavior

Dear Starbucks Team,

Today, on my birthday, I visited your store to redeem my birthday reward as offered in the Starbucks app. However, the staff asked if I had just downloaded the app. I explained that I had downloaded it two months ago, not recently. Despite this, I was told I couldn’t claim my reward because the app must have been downloaded at least a week before the birthday. This policy was never communicated clearly, and I’ve been actively using the app for two months.

What made this experience even worse was the store manager’s dismissive and unprofessional behavior. The manager made hand gestures and acted indifferent, which was incredibly disrespectful. This is not the level of service I expect from Starbucks, a brand that prides itself on customer satisfaction.

On my birthday, I was looking forward to a simple gesture from your brand, but instead, I was left feeling upset and undervalued. I request that this issue be reviewed, and I hope necessary steps will be taken regarding both the denial of my birthday reward and the inappropriate conduct of the store manager.

Unfortunately, this place prioritizes online orders and takes their time getting to customers who are standing in line. Went there this morning with three people in line. And it took them 10 minutes to get to one person, so I just walked out. This Starbucks should either hire more staff or have two baristas working solely on online orders to keep up with demand and another two baristas working the register/making coffee solely for the customers who come inside. I don’t know what management is doing but they need to step up their game and be on par with the other Starbucks in the area, not to mention this place doesn’t even have drive-through access, so what’s the deal? Do yourself a favor and order online and wait at least 15 to 20 minutes before your coffee/food items are ready.

This store is always busy and crowded, so it took some times to get the coffee.

I usually ordered in app to save any hassle. Today, I ordered first time at the counter and the staff was very friendly and helpful.

The drinks were spot on, I haven’t received any wrong orders yet.

However, the store was always dirty. The tables were sticky and would always have some kind of trash.

Very bad service I left my wallet by mistake inside the Starbucks and the employees took $150 from my wallet

This is the worst starbucks, which I have seen till now in the Bay Area. The service is bad, the staff is rude. When I get a normal coffee, I always ask for a side of steamed cream in a short cup. The other starbucks in the area have never charged me for this, but this starbucks charged me an extra $3.15. Even after me telling them at other starbucks, they never charge me for this extra steamed milk. Apart from this, there was a lady ahead of me asking for a birthday discount on the drinks, I suppose she didn't have the right coupon on her APP. These people straight forward denied her service and asked to call starbucks support. If I were at the counter, I would have given this lady a free drink as it was her birthday. Anyways. This starbuck thinks that they operate independently and are not a franchise. The staff is definitely spoiling the image of the starbucks franchise.

So I went in with my family and order drinks as a Christmas holiday treat. The hot chocolate was cold and the cookies were soft and wet as if liquid had spilled over them. I brought them back and young guy with curly hair had no sympathy for me and blamed me for my inconvenience. I didn’t receive any refund and no apologies. Does Starbucks not care about its customers anymore.
