Sushi Sam’s Edomata delivers an exceptional sushi experience. The fish is incredibly fresh, the craftsmanship is top-notch, and every bite reflects true attention to detail. Warm, attentive service and a refined yet welcoming atmosphere make this a standout spot. Easily one of the best sushi restaurants in the area—highly recommended.

I was so happy to learn that Sushi Sam‘s had been resurrected, and dare I say the new location is even more dynamic and interactive due to the large sushi counter where you can watch the chefs.
For my money, this is one of the very best sushi places in the US. The service and quality of ingredients remains outstanding. Mid-range prices for top notch sushi.
I highly suggest either the omakase or getting the seasonal nigiri based on the waiter’s recommendations. The handrolls, particularly the chili dog, Sam‘s special, and anything with their creamy crab salad is also worth ordering. Maki rolls are also good as are the appetizers, but I believe the skills of the chefs really shine in the nigiri.
I had such a good meal during my visit that I officially joined the super fan club and bought a t shirt. I highly recommend this place if you love traditional sushi!
Highly suggest calling to reserve. I managed to snag a seat at the bar as a solo diner mid-week.

I used to like this restaurant. I do not think i will ever go back. Tonight my family went to their new location for dinner. We were the first group arrived at the restaurant, but the owner said they will open in 8 minutes. so we went to a store next door to get water for my 2.5 years old toddler. when we returned to the restaurant and got in line to go into the restaurant, we were the third group to sit down at the table. There were three - four servers who brough out the water and were taking orders from the customers. We were sitting there for 15 minutes and had no water, and seeing some other groups who came in after us already got their water and drink and even got their orders taken. It seems to me a couple of servers who wanted to take orders from the customers that they know. One server was standing two tables away from us and chatting with the customers at the table for 20 minutes while she was taking order. I was a bit irrigated because my toddler daughter was hungry. Well finally i called the attention of a server who was taking order from the table next to us and this table next to us came in 5-10 minutes later than us. Eventually the server took our order, and by this time all the tables around us had foods on the table except us. The owner recognized that we were the first group arrived at the restaurant and saw no food on our table, and he brough some soybean to my daughter while we were waiting for the food. It was nice of him. However it still was a terrible experience!

Be sure to make a reservation because the seats fill up instantly. The servers were so attentive that my tea cup was never empty - they must have filled it over 10 times. The menu had many items that I've never seen before. Most everything we ordered was tasty and I could see myself coming back. And if it's your birthday, the entire staff stops and sings for you!
Special Toro Maki ($25) - I think the server recommended this as it's the most expensive roll on the menu. I thought it was ok. My bf liked it.
Chicken Karaage ($18) - 6 BIG pieces. Needs some kind of sauce though.
Tempura ($16) - Includes shrimp, cauliflower, mushroom, zucchini, daikon, etc. Nothing to bark about, in my opinion
Tamago Nigiri ($5) - Actually really good compared to many others that I've tried.
Omakase ($80) - Comes with 8 pieces of incredible nigiri. For the dessert I highly recommend the Fig Walnut Goat Cheesecake if it is still on the menu. I normally hate cheesecake but still enjoyed it.

omakase option was amazing! definitely forgot all the names of each fish but I do remember it was buttery, flavorful, and larger than normal bites.
added on a couple more pieces on top of that to round out the meal.
fig walnut cheesecake desert was memorable as well

This place actually lived up to the hype. I’ve been wanting to try this restaurant for a very long time. Everything was exquisite. The fish is very fresh and I had the best scallops in my life. We went a bit crazy and kept ordering more and more dishes. Can’t wait to be back again.

Restaurantji Recommends
Extremely fresh sushi most of their fish is direct from Japan. They have an incredible Omakase. They also have many things that other restaurants don’t have such as pressed macro Petra, monk fish liver, and they only do that when it’s in season so it’s so delicious tender, better than any we’ve had at any Japanese restaurant. Consistently good quality, reasonable price and just our go to Sushi for regular as well as special occasions with friends.

Ok this was a truly last minute unexpected experience. My manager had recommended the location and had not provided me the context of the experience I was about to partake.
I did the omakase here and was prepared for a delicious dinner. My first role was very citrusy and I was worried this was not going to be a great experience but every next role was my favorite. I had a delicious Spanish Mackerel and Uni for the first time. Overall it was a great experience but when that last roll arrived and I had their Toro I was unprepared for the flavor I was about to taste. That hands down is perhaps the best taste I have ever had in a sushi and likely one of the best single bites in my life.
To finish off this experience one of the best sakes I have had as well. Overall can't recommend this location enough and have already scheduled my return.

Same old Sushi Sam taste and service! HQ sushi for good prices.
The new location has horrendous parking. It can take 20 minutes to find parking during Friday lunch (we all know remote fridays means not working fridays)
