Great service and fresh, authentic Thai food. We chatted with the new owners, and it’s clear they care about what they’re serving. The noodle soup was spot on, and the fresh spring rolls were perfect.
Ignore the old reviews—new owner, new chef, great food. We’ve already been back again just a week later and are looking forward to trying more dishes. If you like heat, be sure to ask for true Thai spice level.

As a Thai person, I have been trying to find authentic restaurant around san mateo for a long time and so glad I finally found it. I think they recently changed owners so the food got updated and now it is sooo good! The menu selection is very authentic and not something you find at usual Americanized Thai places. Love. Will come back!

Great Thai food at good price. New owners take a lot of care in creating the balance of flavors. They have a new menu on Thai street food that have a lot of options not commonly found in other Thai restaurants. The standard curries also have depth of flavor and they use real herbs!

Absolutely loved my meal at Thanglor! The khao soi was rich and comforting, the spicy catfish had the perfect kick, and the pad Thai hit all the right notes—balanced, flavorful, and fresh.
Don’t forget to get the kaya toast 🙂 the bread is fresh and warm, and it pairs well with the Kaya!

After eating here every single day of my vacation, I've finally managed to get a photo of my Curry before digging in. It was really so good that I wouldn't remember I wanted to get a picture until I was halfway through it. Every dish here is cooked right in front of you in a tiny kitchen at the front of the incredibly tiny restaurant. This usually wouldn't be a plus in a restaurant, but it brought such a cozy feeling to the whole experience. You also get to see everyone else's dishes and they all looked amazing. If cozy isn't your thing, order takeout but whatever you do, do yourself a favor and visit this restaurant. It really is that good
