I really want to like this place, been going for years. I go for food and cocktails, not to sit at bar and watch TV.The food is perfectly mediocre pub fare, nothing bad, nor good. Cocktails are good.Atmosphere is of the dark wood and race horse/sports memorabilia genre. Portions are smaller and saltier than pre-pandemic. And all the cheese on every dish, even the lasagna, was processed slices of.. what? "Swiss"? General white cheese? It's just that cheap plastic...
Great pub for a nosh after playing Crystal Springs with expertly crafted cocktails and food that's much better than it has to be.Don't let the strip mall location fool you, this spot feels like an East Coast locals joint that's been in the same old building for a generation.Elevated food and drinks without the usual Peninsula pretentiousness.Very distinctive sauce with the BBQ ribs app, the stuff should be bottled and sold at stores.Excellent prime rib dip sandwich...
Good for happy hour, cozy and not crowded on a weekday for co-worker meetup. Menu isn't huge though, and salad wasn't very exciting, small, but my friends who got burgers and other less health-conscious items were happy. I appreciate the ease of parking, small shopping area right across from Safeway, and easy access off of the 92/280 junction. Good adult hangout, not for kids, dark inside.
