I drove all the way from Millbrae after a long day of not eating whatsoever because I'm so darn busy and I walked up and this location is permanently closed! Bummer. Smh

The food is good and healthy portions but your order online does not work and no one answered the phone to order that way.

This was my go to spot being so close to the gym. This restaurant was always generous on the portions. I always ordered the combo platter with extra protein, etc. The food majority of the time was delicious. There were a few times not so much, but it wasn't often. The staff was friendly. I ordered Halal at least 1x sometimes 2x a week. I last ordered from this specific location Friday, 07/29/2022. There were no signs or heads up that this restaurant was closing. The staff was busy prepping orders and customers were in and out. I am sad to see this restaurant close, especially without any warning or prior notices. I hope the employees/staff received more notice about the restaurant closing than us loyal customers. It looks like I will now have to find a new favorite restaurant. Farewell, Halal Guys.

I got the chicken and beef gyro plate and it was good. Portions were a good size as well. I'll come back and order it again.

Love this place! I'm so excited that I can stock up on white sauce for gyro at home. Sunday is kids eat free!

Flew into SFO, after a 6 hour flight from Toronto, thought I would try out a local Mediterranean spot. I ordered the Chicken and Beef gyro, food was cold and the quality the beef and chicken gyro wasn’t very good. Only got through half the plate.

I really enjoy the food here. However I order much less these days. They sent an order and the food was spilling out of the package. They sent me a survey which took a long time to fill out, so I explained about the design change needed to prevent the pan from buckling in the bag, so that food doesn't spill out. They ignored the advice, and my time was wasted. Free "fries" was offered as a reward for a long survey, but I don't eat fries - the whole point of offering feedback is for it to be heard and perhaps acted upon. I also pointed out that my order was incomplete (I paid for items not received), and again - no followup. I can only conclude that surveys are for metrics and charts, not to really understand indivdual customer issues.

I came here right after I finished my bowl of ramen at Hiro Nori Craft Ramen. I was surprise how little customers they had. The foods good. I ordered the Chicken & Beef Gyro Combo. The combo came with salad, rice, topped off with gyro, chicken, beef and white sauce. Mix everything together. Chicken was moist and tender. Same with the beef. Squeeze some red sauce on top. Everything works well together.

DO NOT EAT HERE. Just had to go 5/16/2022 with 3 FLIES STILL ALIVE in my order on top and under my lettuce. It doesn't end there. Had a Beef and Falafel combo, and the falafel tasted like BLEACH. Beef was stiff like cardboard. My stomach and gut feels horrible right now and my taste buds still with bleach after taste. DO NOT GO HERE. (I didn't take pictures given other halal guys locations have been good so I killed the flies and gave the food a chance. They weren't tiny flies either.)

$10 for a mix beef and chicken gyro. Tasted pretty good too especially with this packaged white sauce but the hot sauce was fire! Service was nice and they even offered a cup for water without even asking. Unfortunately, got a stomach ache later from something.

Not as good as when they first opened.Staff raised his voice when my husband forgot to finish transaction after swiping his card - “hey, tips! *while pointing to the credit card machine”. Very rude and unpleasant staff.

We always have great experiences here. I usually order online and pick up, they always prepare it right as I'm picking up so it's very fresh. The last time we went in person to order, the gentleman at the counter was awesome, helped us with our rewards point issue and was super personable. My boyfriend always loves the food here and he's on a no carb diet, so he loves that he can do all greens instead of rice and that the portions are hefty & filling He's very picky on places where he'll spend his money and having spoken to the employees here, he is willing to support them.

The Halal Guys is the McDonald’s of Arab food. I was very disappointed because I had heard the history of Halal Guys and the long lines of people lured to buy food from them in NYC. And after traveling through the Middle East and enjoying other similar cuisine in the Bay Area, my expectations were misplaced here. The food tasted very processed and bland, served lukewarm, especially the falafel. Not to mention, this San Mateo locale plays the loudest, obnoxious music on a sound system with bad acoustics that disturbs your dining and auditory senses. I completely don’t recommend The Halal Guys. If you want this type of cuisine, look elsewhere.

Ordered right before closing and they were quick to have it ready. Food was good as usual, taste like the NJ Halal Guys.
