Rarely found, and often highly sought after, these beers never last long on our menus!!!Beer with a highly complex structure that has a wine-like and somewhat oxidised taste, the slightly acidic structures mingling with more mellow aspects. Powerful yet elegant, Bruocsella can be considered the missing link between the worlds of wine and beer. Since there is no secondary fermentation in the bottle Bruocsella is a flat, non-sparkling beer.
Cantillon Rose De Gambrinus (375ml)
5.5% ABV, Cantillon is arguably one of the world's most distinguished and recognized breweries for traditional belgian lambics. Rarely found, and often highly sought after, these beers never last long on our menus!!!Blend of lambics and raspberries - 200 g of raspberries per litre of beer.Beer with a slightly acidic, fruity and fragrant taste.Just like kriek, the "fruitiness" of Rosé de Gambrinus is at its best when the beer is young. With age the lambic will take the upper hand, but this is at the expense of the fruit component.
Cellarmaker Radio Edit (475ml)
5.7% ABV, Radio Edit is a Hazy West Coast pale ale. The haze comes from protein and a high rate of dry hopping that leaves the beer opaque. The West Coast part means it's aggressive with crisp hop flavor, assertive bitterness and a lingering lemongrass finish. Well hopped with Galaxy, Citra and Motueka the beer has aromas and flavors of lemon and orange peel, jasmine, melon and pine.

Narrative Mox Nox (475ml)
7% ABV Mox Nox is our newest West Coast IPA to the line up. It translates to "Night, shortly". One of the things I love most about this time of year is the longer days with cool and comfortable evenings. It's the perfect time to crack a crisp and refreshing IPA with enough umph to help wash away the stress of the day. Mox Nox was whirlpooled in the kettle with Mosaic & Simcoe and then received a sizeable dry hop addition of Mosaic, Idaho 7, & Simcoe. It has some punchy aromas of pine, citrus, & dank. It has moderate bitterness with flavors of citrus (grapefruit/sweet lemon), white peach, light tropical fruit, black tea, and finishes with a grippy, resinous finish that sticks to your tongue.
Narrative Shake It Cali (475ml)
5.5% ABV, Shake It Cali is a collaboration with the awesome like minded guys from Movement Brewing Co in Rancho Cordova. It has some heady aromas of dank berries and melon. In the mouth it's crisp, clean, & refreshing. You'll find some rad flavors of blueberry, honeydew melon, green papaya, strawberry, with hints of lemon/lime zest and a slightly resinous finish.
Narrative Taonga (475ml)
7.5% ABV, Taonga is a NZ IPA hopped generously with Nelson, Nelson CGX, Riwaka, & Nectaron and was brewed in collaboration with the homie, Rob, from MachineHead Brewing. We used some lean pilsner malt for the base of this beer to help express the rad hop character. Based primarily on Nelson, we used Nelson lots from Clayton Farms, NZ Hops, and cryogenic lupulin pellets from Hop Revolution. In addition, we slid in some Riwaka & Nectaron which added some awesome depth and complexity. This beer presents with some deliciously saturated hop oil characteristics of nectarine, white wine, pink grapefuit, diesel, white peach, with a sticky resinous quality that grips the tongue.

9% ABV, Produced in the tradition of 18th Century English brewers who supplied the court of Russia's Catherine the Great, Old Rasputin seems to develop a cult following wherever it goes. It's a rich, intense brew with big complex flavors and a warming finish.

The first commercial porter production dates back to the Revolutionary War- even George Washington was a fan of the American-made porter!Bright ruby brown in color with aromas of brown sugar, molasses, toffee, caramel, and chocolate with hints of maple syrup, coffee, and walnut. Subtly sweet with low to moderate bitterness and medium body.
Oakland United Street Car Scandal (475ml)
5.4% ABV, Paying homage to the Key System and the "Streetcar Scandal" that led to its dissolution, this Oatmeal Stout has sweet aromatics of chocolate, pie crust, and graham cracker with coffee undertones. Lightly sweet and medium bodied.Beginning in 1903, the privately-owned Key System provided electric streetcar and bust service to Alameda and Contra Costa. After acquiring the company and dissolving it, General Motors was found liable for taking actions to monopolize the sale of gas-powered buses. This became known as the "Streetcar Scandal." Today, only remnants of this once thriving transit system can still be found hidden throughout Oakland.

After a long day at the brewery this past winter, we stopped by a bonfire at Jimmy's place on the way home and tried one of their new brews that was a WC IPA using a mix of Mosaic, Sabro, and Vic Secret. It was freaking delicious and we knew we wanted to use that combination at the brewery. We asked them if they'd be up to brew something similar with us and they were all in. Using their recipe as a guide, a few tweaks were made to it to make it more of an NF West Coast style of beer, but the hop combination remained the star of the show. The name of the beer comes from one of the many Jimmy-isms that our good friend is known for.
Narrative Makana (475ml)
7.4% ABV, POG kettle sour. Basically a straight up fizzed out orange juice with some tangy high notes.
Narrative Mixed Berries Froot (475ml)
6% ABV, a very strong kettle sour base beer and diluted it back down to 6% abv with ridiculous amounts of pureed blueberry, raspberry, and cherry. We also added some milk sugar to leave behind a little sweetness that you'd expect from a slushie as well as a kilo of Grade A Madagascar Vanilla Beans that helps meld the fruit flavors and give the beer a dessert/pie edge
Narrative Palms (475ml)
9% ABV, There's no hint of coconut.....it's front and center like a liquid Mounds bar. Rich, velvety, coconut, and chocolate decadence. While it makes an excellent nightcap, it really is a pleasure to enjoy anytime

9.7% ABV, Rich and complex, this tour de force is a glorious blend of elegant Belgian-style quadruple ale and authentic Belgian kriek, its malty depth and gentle sweetness enhanced by sparkling carbonation and a serendipitous touch of cherry.

7% ABV. True to its name, this Hazy IPA is luxurious. Not too bitter, not too hoppy. Clouds of Cashmere takes us to new heights with balanced notes of passionfruit, papaya, agave, and pine. Brewed with a Cashmere-forward blend of Mosaic and Idaho 7 hops, it's juicy, clean, and complex.
Original Pattern Hella Hallertau (475ml)
5.4% ABV, We love throwing different German hops at our base Helles recipe and seeing what new flavors appear. Made using Hallertau Blanc hops, appropriately named for their white wine grape profile, this German Helles Lager boasts notes of Sauvignon Blanc, which excels in a lager that is this light 'n' crispy. Classy and incredibly underrated, this is a must-have if you haven't tried our Helles Lagers yet.

5.4% ABV, This is our homage to a perfect and long-anticipated pint of Guinness. Dry yet still frothy, this craft version of the cult classic hits all the notes. Chocolatey, hints of rose petals, not too sweet, light, and refined. If you're looking for something different from hoppy but equally refreshing, we can't recommend this brew enough.

7% ABV. Joining us on our journey into the hop tropics are our friends at Fort George Brewery in Astoria, Oregon! This collab is all about exploring the dank, piney, and funky meadows that HBC586 and AU Eclipse Hops have to offer. Get ready to dive into dense notes of citrus, spice, and sweet fruit with a powerful aroma of wood and resin. It's crisp and clean and fills your nose and glass with the tropical forest.

Best pastrami I have ever had, hands down. Tender juicy and so scrumptious. All the side dishes that I have tried are also amazing, and they have fantastic desserts as well. The bread pudding is pretty famous, but they also have a great chocolate dessert.

Others have raved about the pastrami sandwiches from here, so perhaps this is worth a revisit to try those instead. I tried the grilled cheese and tomato soup and was a bit disappointed. The cheese was overwhelming and oily and the soup too watery to dip the sandwich in. The dish came with fries, which didn't compliment the meal.
However, the atmosphere is nice and staff friendly, so this is definitely worth a revisit!
