Urban Momo San Mateo is a true delight for anyone craving Nepali and Indian flavors. Every dish we tried; from momo and choila to chicken chilly, naan curry, and biryani was packed with authentic taste. The staff are warm and welcoming, making every visit a pleasure. If you’re in the area, this place is an absolute must-try!
Urban Momo in San Mateo has its own personality and flavor. The biryani here has a deep, layered spice that seeps into every grain of rice, comforting and satisfying. The chowmein is stir-fried to perfection, with a hint of smokiness and crisp veggies that keep each bite interesting. The paneer butter masala is smooth and creamy, perfect for scooping up with warm naan. The lamb curry stands out, tender pieces of lamb in a rich, well-spiced gravy that tastes like it’s been slow-cooked...
We stopped by for Lunch here. Kamal Thapa is one of owner of this place and is very kind and friendly. The food was tasty and authentic, which was prepared by cooks from Nepal who all are mountaineers and river rafters. It’s a place run by people who love what they do.
