Service was decent. The food was not my flavor and the atmosphere is kind of all over the place.

The cook on December 29th at 8:24 AM was not good and needs to be let go. I can tell there are two chefs in the kitchen: one consistently prepares superb food, while the other is a cause for concern. I recently ordered grits, an omelet, and toast—simple enough, right? However, the toast was burnt, the grits had a terrible aftertaste, and the eggs were slimy and undercooked.

Suki, with your price increases, your loyal customers expect the food to taste great all the time, not just on occasions or depending on who is cooking. This is why I gave the restaurant 3 stars. While I have enjoyed many delicious meals here, I’ve also had my share of bad experiences, leading me to toss food in the trash and prepare my own meals instead.

The mashed potatoes are terrible ever since the recipe changed. The chicken strips are good but they’ve changed too. I don’t know what management was thinking when they decided to change it as well as not serve their brown gravy, but if they don’t revert back to the original recipes, I won’t be eating at Sukie’s ever again.

Service was ok, place is outdated and the food wasn't good at all. I wouldn't go back.

The place was chill, service was alright, and the area we sat in was somewhat clean or was in the process of being set up for use. It was early 8am. My first time going and I had a hard time seeing this place. It was hiding several yards from the San Pablo Market to its left. I want to come back and give the place a 2nd chance cause I had ate breakfast with my wife at another spot before taking her to work. Went to go pick up my mother inlaw and she wanted to go and check this place out. I was still full from earlier but I couldn't say no to my mother inlaw's offer and she was paying. So please disregard my rating till I return for my 2nd visit and that time will be my true rating of Sukie's. The food I had ordered tasted bland and it's suppose to be a country style cooking but again I was already full . 2 star for now.

The place is showing its age, but the people and food are great. My wife and I split an omelet, and they serve it like i ordered two meals. I didn't have to ask. The portions are generous also. We don't walk out hungry.

Our Kingsmen group meets here once a month for breakfast. The food, service and atmosphere is always excellent. Denise is Usually our server and does an excellent job ensuring that our food and drink orders are correct and piping hot (cold drinks cold). She is always pleasant and friendly in spite of our large group. Thank you Denise, all the cooks, and wait-staff for making Sukie’s Country Kitchen an Institution for our community.

Good food, good waitresses. Every restaurant can't make good grits. Fortunately, Sukie's does. Every restaurant can't make soft scrambled eggs. Sukie's does it very well.

Sukie's knocked it out of the park! Got the chicken and waffles, which they tell you takes about 20 minutes to prepare, but it was so worth it. Spiced fried chicken, cooked perfectly with a great balance of breadiness and flavor. The waffle was made perfectly too, nice and fluffy but a good amount of crisp. The coffee was tasty and with the wonderful wait staff coming by often to top up my cup for free, it was a delightful and cozy experience. There was plenty of space and seating when my partner and I went on a saturday morning. Visit this place!

Hash browns were a little too buttery for my liking other than that the food and service was great! They have enormous pancakes and the waiters memorize everything ???
