The notice on the door mentions EVICTION. That sounds pretty much permanent. Glad I visited a few months back when I did.

What happened with Phil's burgers is close permanently. I just see signs that it says temporary close but it's been months.

Wish I had seen Evy M.'s review before I ordered the chili cheese fries with my sandwich.Ordered: Santa Fe Chicken Sandwich and upgraded fries to chili cheese fries for a few dollars more.Had the food delivered via Uber Eats.Taste: The Santa Fe sandwich was everything that I hoped it would be. It was sooo delicious. It came with Ortega chiles, lettuce, tomato, cheese, and either mayo or white sauce. I also requested it on a wheat bun, but they gave it to me on sliced, toasted wheat bread which I will order it that way every time. The toasted bread along with the ingredients in the salad was really tasty. Only criticism is that the chicken was dry and chewy. Hope that was just a one-time oops on their part. Maybe they can pound the chicken breast a little less next time. It may have been too thin. Score: 9/10The "chili cheese fries" were another story. At first glance they looked okay, but once I picked up a fry I saw that the "chili" looked like it was just ground beef that still looked a little pink. I took a small bite and all I could taste was pepper.I think the "chili" is actually crumbled sausage, there is no sauce, just what tastes like what might be almost a sausage gravy, heavy on the pepper. I didn't eat more than that one bite. Folks, this is not a chili with sauce and beans, etc. I will never order this again. Pretty disappointing. Score: 1/10Ordered a side of thousand island dressing and it tasted like honey mustard with ketchup mixed in. I'll pass on this also next time.Hope the owners see this and make some changes.Overall, I'd come again for the sandwich.

chilli cheese fries look disgusting. chilli looked like someone vomit. I threw it away. i ordered chilli cheese fries with lettuce , tomatoe and pickles on top. i removed the toppings to show the meat.

The food is still as good as it was 20 years ago. Not sure how many different owners Phil's has had over the years yet have maintained the taste and quality of the food. The Steak Sandwich is my husbands favorite, mainly because it's not chopped up meat it's a whole piece of steak cooked to order which he always orders medium and the consistency is on spot. My go to is The Pastrami Sandwich, always good I order it dry and eat with those yummy hot peppers. It's a walk up to order and pick up, and there is indoor dining. The very nice young lady who takes our order is always super pleasant and knows that menu inside and out . Looking forward to my next sandwich .

I saw this place and decided to stop by for a burger. Might not look like much from the outside, but it has some of the best burgers I have had! Price is just right, the staff is friendly and quick to hand out the orders! The dining area has A/C as well so it is very comfortable inside! There seems to be enough parking in the rear as well. Definitley stop by this place for good food! :D

Typical fast food, you ain't going to get a gourmet burger that's for sure. The service is good just call in your order and pick up and yuh are good to go. It is a run down burger joint which is good for something quick on the go!!

The family and I needed a quick lunch while traveling and we all wanted burgers. We saw a decent rating for this place on Yelp and decided to give it a try. At first glance you may wonder how the food is going to be. But don't let the looks of the place concern you. The outside and inside of the restaurant is dated and could seriously need an upgrade. I can tell you first hand that the lack of facility maintenance hasn't hindered their quality of food. The burgers were awesome and really well priced. It made us feel like we made the burgers at home. Certainly not a fast food place, but a place that serves good food fast.

I've lived in this area for almost a decade and I just discovered this cool and very delicious Mom & Pop spot in SB. What a hidden pearl! Their burgers are the BEST!!! Usually I can't leave work for lunch so I've been getting these double cheeseburgers to treat my co-workers for breakfast at 7:30am on my way to the office! And everyone loves them! Not one comment or complaint of having these fat burgers so early in the day.

Steak sandwich is down right nasty and the tuna melt is worse. I haven't been there for a while but I think this had a change of ownership land hence it's gone down the tubes. Stay away
