It's interesting that when we book through OpenTable it seems we are often sat at less than desirable tables. Where we sat was right next to the bus station/kitchen area when all other tables were open. Our table is the last place a host will seat a table. Just a note for the host and manager to pay attention to such a simple guest relations issue. Otherwise, service and food was great as in the past.
J. Trani's is a classic establishment in L.A. There are few options that compare to this type of dining experience. Always order the new style calamari (trust me). Their pizzas are handmade and excellently prepared. Similar to what you would expect to find in Italy. They also have an impressive cocktail menu.
J Trani's has officially become our fave restaurant. The service (Lauren and every other person who made certain our experience was amazing. All were totally focused on being attentive, helpful but not overly solicitous. The food was incredible...the scallops appetizer, pastas, fish, steak, desserts...OMG so good. Prices are reasonable and generous portions were enjoyed for lunch today.
