Don't do it...

Unfortunately, this was the worst service I’ve ever encountered. There was no attention to detail, no welcoming atmosphere, and no sense of care put into the experience. The meal was served with little regard for presentation or respect, as if I were just another customer to rush through. I would advise you to consider other options if you value quality and good service. It’s your choice, but I won’t be returning.

I went to this place twice. I ordered takeout and they charged me for the utensils and when I got home I realized that they didn't give me the utensils and they had charged me for them.
The last time I ordered food again to take away and they charged me for the plastic containers to take away, that is supposed to be included in the price of the food and they charge me for it. It doesn't make common sense because it is takeout food or maybe they want me to take it away my own containers. The truth is, it is the first restaurant that I have seen that charges you for cutlery and containers to carry the food... for the next time I place a takeout order, I am going to let you know that I will bring my own containers, terrible service, to be honest.

Well, the truth is I was impressed with what they charge, I made an order to pick up and the truth is they charge for everything, I said that's not my order because it's too much, I know life is hard but I think they exaggerate. At the time of payment

I visited this restaurant while my son had a baseball game nearby. The place is very clean, and the restrooms are well-maintained. However, I’m giving it one star for three reasons:

1. I ordered 8 pupusas but was not given any plates or enough napkins, despite confirming my order. When I asked the manager about it, he said they don’t provide plates unless requested. Really? If someone orders a party tray, you should supply enough napkins and plates. It seems he expects us to eat the pupusas with our hands or on napkins.

2. The sweet plantains were under-ripe and appeared to be fried in old oil, which was disappointing.

3. The pupusas were mediocre, and they used mozzarella cheese, which is not authentic.

Unfortunately, I won’t be returning due to this experience. I hope the owner takes this feedback to make improvements.

I want to give a round of applause for the fantastic pupusas. I have not been able to find any that taste homemade, around the bay area.
The pupuses started at $4 and they were a good size. I ordered multiple items thinking the pupusas were small, but was impressed with the size. The meat/veggies within them were a bit on the lighter side but still flavorful. I also had the empanadas, although it was not my favorite. I found that the ingredients blended all together and tasted like a standard stuffing of meat but hard to tell what kind. The salsa leaned more on the tomato sauce side but the salsa verdè was fantast, a light mild flavor and good spice - which will compliment any dish.
The service was nice, and all the employees quickly contributed to keeping the restaurant clean. The pupusas are made to order so depending on how busy it is, will determine your wait time.
I look forward to coming back for the pupusas. Thank you

Vegetarian options: They offered pupusas with just beans and cheese or veggies.

So glad I found La Esperanza. Their pupusas are incredible — best I’ve had since the remate in Oakland many years ago and definitely the best in Marin. Their chocolate cake flan is also to die for. I was also surprised that they have multiple options for vegetarian pupusas, so not just plain cheese or beans and cheese (tho they do have those and they’re bomb) but also zucchini, spinach, etc. Nice to see that good alternatives are available. The staff have been so damn sweet, too.

You gotta try their food.

Vegetarian options: Zucchini, spinach pupusas, etc.

We tried some good fresh food at this Salvadoran restaurant. We went for the love of Tamales, but they were sold out( we went in late afternoon) . However, we ordered “ Camarones en Crema o Al Mojo de Ajo / Shrimp On Cream or Garlic Style“ and “ Pollo Encebollado / Chicken with Onions” - Just delicious! Family friendly, good ambience and friendly staff! ??

Parking: Just opposite to the restaurant is a paid parking space. You will find paid street parking spaces aswell.
