I am happy to have met Chef Jun-San, what a remarkable treat to have him and his team in San Rafael.

I have been living in Indonesia and Singapore for the past 15 years, we love sushi, and Jun-San makes similar quality fresh sushi with local fish. He makes incredible tasty small plates and nigiri pieces with real wasabi and good crispy cold lager beer. A real treat .
finally. i don’t have to drive down to the city for good sushi. when i saw more uncommonly seen dishes like kakiage, kisu tempura and great kushiyaki, i knew i was in good hands.

thank god there’s a place up north here that sticks to their roots - not fill up their menu with americanised bull.
MaruJun exceeded every expectation. From the moment we walked in, the service was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, and the ambiance struck the perfect balance of elegant and comfortable.
