Their traditional Kouign Amann is a sight to behold!The two who run the place mill their own grains and use local ingredients. They're friendly people and I look forward to coming back to this place for years to come.

Yes, it's amazing to find a tiny high-quality, very personal Bakery such as this one. (A cute and quirky little place that seems to have been transported by magic carpet to San Rafael from another place and time.) Ponsford's is truly a labor of love bakery, and very special indeed. The wonderful baked products are wholesome and delicious. Chat with the baker if you can. (And good luck finding this secret little place!?)
