We took a Porthos tour in November, visiting the Kenzo, Boswell, and Elyse wineries. It was obvious that our Porthos guide was well known at all three, and we were consequently treated well. The tour was to include lunch, about which we had great expectations. The tour price seemed to promise an elegant meal, and that suited the elegant wines we were sampling. What we got was sandwiches from a grocery store, which we ate at the picnic tables outside. Hmm ... a great disappointment. The day's price included a voucher to purchase bottles of the wines we tasted. Perhaps if we had bought well in excess of that amount more attention would have been paid to shipping the bottles to us. It required a number of e-mail exchanges finally to get the wine, and it arrived much later than the date we originally specified. So, in sum, the tour was pleasant overall, but I'm not convinced that there was good value for the money.

Have had great experience with these guys. Wine was shipped timely- as I was informed and in great condition. I think it's important to know before ordering that what you may be ordering may not actually be in the U.S. yet and if you want it urgently- then you may have to wait. Also, importantly, most wine shippers, appropriately do not ship during the hottest months of the year to reduce the risk of damage to the wine. Keep up the good work guys.

This wine merchant is the best there is. The owners are warm and friendly, the staff easy to deal with. I know the wines I get here are going to be special. I love picking out a wine here knowing it will be delicious instead of taking my chances at Bev Mo or Cost Plus. I highly recommend these guys. They're heart is behind their work.

I ordered wine on July 9th and my credit card was charged on July 10th. Today is July 29th and I haven't received a thing. I would hesitate to order from this company.
