Went to The Mayflower Pub for dinner, drinks, and trivia, and overall it was a fun night out. The drinks were tasty and well made, and the food was decent. Nothing mind blowing, but good pub fare that did the job.
Trivia was the highlight. It was a bit more convoluted than the standard format, but in a way that felt intentional and unique. Once you get into the rhythm, it’s actually a really fun and engaging way to play, and it kept things interesting throughout the night.
If you’re looking for a relaxed spot with good drinks and a fun twist on trivia, this is definitely worth checking out.

My wife and I stopped by here on our way back from Fairfax. I figured we would stop by here and grab a drink before heading home. By the photos, the place looked really nice.
Unfortunate, the service was horrible, there was a young white man who is the bartender who is not friendly or courteous at all.
Also, there is another bar tender who appears to be Pacific islander Maybe samoan lady who was just on her phone the entire time. Never once did they ask how are drinks were, if we wanted any food. They made us feel really unwelcome. We only took a few sips of our drinks and left due to the unfriendly service.

It's an old English pub. As advertised. When I walked in, English Football was on all screens, with everyone in there watching. The fish & chips was bountiful and delicious, and the lady with her hands of the helm at that moment didnt skip a beat. As soon as I sat down, she was there to ask what I needed. Never not a good idea to stop by here. You never know howobg places like these will last in this day and age. Its still a true gem of downtown San Rafael.

Been here twice. The first time I met a man with swagger. He proclaimed himself a Crystal Palace fan. No one lies about being that. We never got to talk about Hilaire, or Coppell, or what he wants for them. But as CPFC challenges the most ironic of Cup Finals, I suggest you visit this memorable place. Who make fresh coffee when you order someone a weekday. Who speak the truth, even if it is flattering. And always have traditional fare and the game on. Can’t wait to return.

The late-night karaoke on Saturdays is so loud that I can’t sleep. If the bar isn’t soundproofed, it would be more reasonable to hold such events between 7pm and 10pm. Operating karaoke from 9pm to 1am just doesn’t seem appropriate by any common standard.
This all started after the change in ownership, and I’m concerned it will only get worse in the summer when the bar tends to keep its doors open.
It’s extremely disruptive, and I sincerely hope you’ll consider putting an end to the karaoke.

Wednesday nights epic trivia. Make a reservation for a table. Otherwise just come and watch the shenanigans. Great beers on tap. The basket of fries is bottomless and huge.

I can say Saint Patrick's day at the mayflower was some of the best guniuess I've had in a long while. The service here is top notch and the chicken curry is really good with rice!
Great local pub, with authentic Irish food and vibe. Super fun to play trivia on Wednesday nights, cash prizes for the winners is a major plus. The beer is always cold and the prices are just right. Great local spot to hang out with friends and family.
