Yummy. Pupusas....love it. Huevos rancheros with chorizo but was missing just a little something. The peach waffles were amazing, I love this place. Will for sure come back here again. Double chef's kiss

Excellent brunch and lunch, especially their egg dishes. Generous portion, well-seasoned. Tasty coffee.

Terrible experience passing through. Grabbed a latte that had no taste...Our Benedicts were inedible..the hollandaise sauce was the worst..nobody ate..just the worst..the hashbrowns frozen..orange juice tasted like a powder..I can't believe this place has such nice reviews...wow..avoid this place unless you like throwing money to the wind...I'm still starving..nothing at this place is edible...I wish I had time to get my money back..waste

The people are kind and well-meaning, but the service is impossibly slow and awkward. There were three moments where we almost stood up to leave, for example when the plain black coffee order took so very long. The food is good — standard diner fare plus Mexican and Guatemalan dishes.

The biggest issue is the space itself. We were placed at one of the several tables in the back that are right next to the bathroom and the door to the kitchen. We could smell the bathroom cleaners the whole time, and there was always heavy traffic in and out. If the restaurant were to take out one or two tables and build a simple barrier, it might help immensely.

As a pass-through visitor, thought that a lunch at what looked like downtown San Rafael's classic diner would fit the bill. Lots of less-than-optimal issues - it's a little tired (not in a charming way, more like in a 'we don't own a duster' way); a handful of dishes were unavailable due to them being out of some staple items (no chicken? no potatoes? hmmm); the staff seems to be muddling through, but the frustration on their part was obvious.

What we did order was solid, but unremarkable.

I hope the proprietors find a way to turn it around as every downtown "main st" needs a good place like this.

I LOVE breakfast. Was craving a big giant breakfast burrito. Came here and watched all the action at the counter and yummy breakfast items being prepared and plated. The line chefs were amazing and had such a rhythm. I enjoyed my breakfast burrito with a splash of hot sauce!

Always loved coming here in the past. Went today on my Birthday. Had the Rubens and the BLT for my brother. Felt very pressured to order. Food was awful. Such a disappointment. Will never go back.

I think they changed ownership at some point, and ruined the food.

Theresa and Johnnys used to have the best pancakes on Earth. It was my favorite breakfast spot anywhere. They changed their menu and ownership or something, and now they are just mid pancakes. I could say similar about the rest of the menu, but the loss of the old pancake recipe is a real shame.
Those pancakes were massive in diameter, but thin, and somehow still bubbly and fluffy, and the maple syrup was so good.
The place was always packed so I have no idea what went wrong or why they sold it.

One of the greatest losses in food.
