This is the review I have been wanting to post for a long time. Finally a Pho place that meets my high standards. I've posted other reviews of Pho places in the area, but finally this is for the best of them all. A friend of mine and I decided to have lunch today at Pho Monsoon. Over the last few years, maybe 10y, I have stopped by this place for lunch or dinner. While others customers have had poor or bad experience to give 1-star, I truly give a 5+. This place is very clean. The tops of their bottled sauces are not caked with residual Sriracha or Hoisin sauce. Their garnish plate is garden fresh: bean sprouts, cilantro, basil, sliced jalapenos and lime wedges were the best, and no wilted or browning leaves. This is very important to me. I give Pho Monsoon high ratings on freshness quality. I ordered the #15, Combo Beef Pho with egg noodles. Wow, this was tasty and the tripe was so tender, not chewy. I wish I had more. A few of the employees I recognize have worked there for 10 years and it was nice to see them again. I don't have any reason to go to and try any other Pho restaurants because I know I have the best right here in town.

No Service without a smile. Grumpy guy with a bad attitude. It's like a chore to actually take an order and worse if he has to bring food to you that you are paying for.The rice plates are okay. Way too salty and the meat is gristle with fat.If you must eat, the food won't kill you but it won't be anything special. The lack of care by the owner/staff makes this place a hard pass. Go elsewhere if you can. Eat dirt if you must.

Wow that was BAD. They used the wrong noodle for Bun Bo Hue. Chicken wings' taste is bland. Dipping sauce was watery. Wasn't expecting anything authentic but this is straight up amateur Vietnamese cooking.

Best Pho in the tri-valley. #26 is my go to. Great flavor! Great spot for the kids too. Lots of things in the menu!

Easy weekday lunch spot, ordered banh xeo, sandwich, bowl of pho, bun rieu and a combo rice plate. Banh Xeo could have been crispier but really can’t compare to the South Bay ones that specialize in it. Pork sandwich was good and choice with/without a can of side $10/$9. We love the ones from Saigon sandwich on Larkin in SF for under $6 but for being in the East Bay, my kid ate it up quickly and liked it.Pictured are: Pho #18 large was good but would’ve liked it larger. Bun Rieu isn’t offered at nearby restaurants so it was good crab meatballs and husband enjoyed the broth. I got the combo plate with choice of meat and 2 choices between a chicken wing, imperial roll or fried egg - asked if I could swap the grilled beef with lemongrass beef and told it was ok which was nice. Quiet service and they brought out the bowl of chicken broth that they originally forgot to give with the combo rice plate.

Kinda disappointed. Ordered to go from this place. Got the imperial rolls and fresh spring rolls. The imperial rolls were pretty bland. Not everything about the spring rolls was fresh about it. All I could taste was the taste of old lettuce and old bean sprouts. Not a good taste at all. My first visit will most likely be my last.

Worst Vietnamese place in the area by far. No one was in the front when we walked in, had to wait five minutes to get a response from the kitchen. Ordered a large chicken pho, had to repeat order seven separate times to the waiter, and he brought the wrong dish. When corrected, he brought the wrong size. Didn’t receive bean sprouts nor garnishes. Had to ask three times for water cups. Food lacked flavor and was borderline inedible. Disgusting, will never return.

Read the review and don't even give a try. Never had such worse Vietnamese food before. I ordered curry chicken, it's more like curry soup, some slides of chicken and barely cooked green pepper and at least half of the onion in that curry soup.

Disappointed. Ordered the charcoalbroiled beef rice plate which is the worst I ever tasted in any of Vietnamese restaurants. Not only it's not charcoal broiled, the beef is the same as the sliced beef in the noodle soup. So disappointed!! Will not go back.

It used to be good but they just keep taking away dishes that were great and replacing them with other things. There are no longer as many delicious veggie options

Ordered spicy beef noodle soup and pork vermicelli from here. None tasted like authentic Vietnamese foods. Not only that, the spicy beef soup was basically Pho that they just added some spicy chili which is not right. The vermicelli has no mint or even cilantro. So disappointed at this place first and last.

I've been here before and love this place but they say they close at 9 on the window and on yelp. They said they were closed and we were very disappointed. Please correct your hours.
