I ordered 6 carne asada burritos from this restaurant to treat the construction workers at my house to a good Mexican lunch. I wanted to do something nice for them and was hoping for authentic, quality food. Unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing.
The burritos came with beans, rice, cilantro, and onions, and the size was decent. But the quality of the carne asada was absolutely terrible. The meat was tough, full of veins, and nearly impossible to chew.
My workers were clearly unhappy with the food. I even overheard one of them telling another, “Don’t even try it.” One burrito was left completely untouched.
I ended up trying one myself, and it was honestly one of the worst burritos I’ve ever had. Almost every bite had to be spit out because the meat was so chewy and unpleasant. I have eaten a lot of Mexican food over the years, and this was by far one of the worst carne asada burritos I’ve experienced.
What bothered me even more was the feeling I got as a customer. I honestly walked away feeling like I was seen as just some clueless outsider, a “stupid American” who wouldn’t know the difference and would accept whatever was served. Whether that was intentional or not, that is exactly how the experience made me feel.
To make matters worse, I spent over $90, and only after they printed the receipt did I notice an extra $1 charge for using a credit card. Not a huge amount, but it added to the frustration after such a poor experience.
Another thing that stood out to me was the restaurant itself. It’s a very small place, yet somehow they have 11 large-screen TVs packed inside. At first, I thought it was unusual, but after the food experience, I honestly started wondering if all those TVs are there to distract people from the quality of the food.
What surprised me even more was that there were at least 10 people dining there, so maybe others have had better experiences than I did. But based on my visit, I genuinely do not understand the appeal.
Very disappointing experience overall. I won’t be returning.

not sure how my menudo had steel wool. the service was the worst I had. smell your food before you eat it. the menudo smelled bad. now I have headache and feel like throwing up. what a waste of money.

Came for the menudo. Hand made tortillas & the green salad is something else, yum! The meat was too firm for my liking and it’s not my mama’s menudo. 😞

This place is hidden in the heart of Santa Ana, and family owned. They have the best home made tortillas with menudo and posole on the weekend. When I go I order a carne asada taco with a shrimp cocktail or posole. So so good!

I ordered a Carne Asada burrito. It came with beans rice cilantro, onions it was good size and it tasted good. Not the best but I will recommend going here. I don’t understand why sometimes when you buy a burrito you’re only given one hot sauce cup. It’s not enough, and they didn’t have Soda machine they only had bottles of soda and other drinks.
I got food poisoning, and mom as well. Waiter charge us a lot and incorrect. Don't go there.

Last time I got enchiladas de mole and I asked for no diary as I am allergic and they still put the cheese and sour cream and when we told them they just put more mole sauce thinking we weren’t going to notice but we did because their was still sour cream and cheese on my plate and when we brought it to their attention they wanted to charge us another plate for their mistake like tf make that make sense
