This was my first shabu shabu experience. The food was so great and the staff prompt and friendly. We had a short wait, not that big of a deal, but the owner came over and said hi after we were seated and apologized with warm sake. Can't wait to come back to California and eat here again.

Kaizen Shabu is honestly such a vibe. First off, the food is AMAZING. The Shabu broth is so flavorful ? I’ve been craving this place so much it’s ridiculous. The servers are also all so friendly and knowledgeable about all the different food / drink choices. The vibe is always really fun as well. I highly recommend this spot!

Thoroughly enjoyed the food here.Got the bone broth and 7 oz Ribeye which is gonna keep me full for the whole day haha. If I had to choose again though, I would go with the combo pork belly + Angus beef. A bit cheaper but would have enjoyed the different flavors more

Just came for an early 30th birthday lunch and the whole experience was great. Food was great, delicious soups and split soup was an awesome option. Affordable draft beers and the serviceeee. Chocolate G (server name on receipt)is as good as it gets! Haha he made sure the three of us had a great experience. Number 1 shabu now, good job guys!

This restaurant is amazing. Not just the food, which is excellent and a good price. You will always have leftovers. The people who work here are fantastic. I have never had a bad experience here. It could be the best restaurant in Downtown Santa Ana.

The food was good but the service not so much.1. There was a bug in my rice - no accommodation for that2. Never was checked on to refresh my drink3. Price on in house menu not the same as online but charged me online price.Definitely need better, more attentive servers

This is my FAVORITE shabu restaurant! The environment is always so lively, welcoming and it's a great experience each time I visit. The owner provides great hospitality every time and the staff is attentive and efficient. The food is SO flavorful and so delicious. My favorite is the tonkotsu broth and I always add in some chili drops
