Love our dinners at Black Sheep! The apero menu is so delicious and great value. Ruben and his staff take great care of their guests. Will go back again soon!

If you've been to Paris, then you'd classify the Black Sheep as a very good bistro type of restaurant, with creativity in its menu. Everything was excellent. One of our favorite restaurants.

We went for my wife's birthday and had our 11 year old with us. They took very good care of us and the food was excellent.

The Black Sheep is nice for a romantic dinner. My Wife wanted to try something different this evening, so we went ordered the course dinner. It was family style so the portions were generous for a course meal. We asked for no seafood and they made it happen. Asia, our waitress was nice and knowledgeable about the menu. The food here is amazing. With the course meal, you get pretty much a good sample of the menu. We had a little issue with the plates having a little bit of an odor but they swapped it out for us no problem. Ruben the owner came by, greeted us and apologized for the issue. He came by and gave us some complimentary non alcoholic drinks that was great. My Wife still talks about how great the food was after a week later. Thank you Ruben & Asia for making our first visit to Santa Barbara a pleasant time. Definitely will come back when we're back in town.

We come a lot to Santa Barbara for weekend get away. My hubby found this restaurant while visiting there. Staffs were nice, we got the Chef’s tasting menu and we were stuffed. Cozy ambiance, food was very good and tasty. We Uber there so I wasn’t paying attention with the parking area. We made rsvp so we didn’t wait for a table.

Absolutely beautiful and fantastic- from the second we walked in the service was great. We did the chefs choice tasting menu and nothing disappointed- 10/10. Highly recommend!

We went on a night that was not the “all you can eat mussels” but we were able to order them a la carte and they were delicious! Fresh, very hot, delicious celery root soup, and very fresh sashimi comprised most of our meals for 4 people. Service was excellent! A lovely addition to downtown dining in Santa Barbara.

What a great night at a wonderful place!
The food was delightful, the service was great, the ambiance was relaxed and enjoyable, and the wine was delicious!
I also was driving home to LA and was made the tastiest non-alcoholic cocktail ever!
The owner and chef sat with us for a moment and chatted about the menu and history of the location and how he crafts his menus based on his desire to do things differently hence the name.
Love this place!

Way over salted hamburger and chicken! Both were not edible. Waiter was not kind from the beginning. We told him it was over salted and he didn't respond or care. It took 30 minutes to get a bill! We will not return. The first time we went was perfect and that's why we returned with a friend. How embarrassing. She had one bite of the salty inedible burger and couldn't eat the rest. No more!

I've lived in SB for 40 years and fully get the reality that we have many nice restaurants relative to the size of our population. It's a competitive environment. That said, you should consider Black Sheep for the quality of their food, combined with attentive but personal service. It's really exceptional.

An absolute perfect dining experience with delicious food and drinks, great service and ambiance. We chose the tasting menu and loved every single dish. It was a difficult choice as the all you can eat mussels and frites on Wednesdays was a great offer as well. We will come back. Logan was a fabulous waiter.
