Have come here many times over the years. Just heard they are closing at month's end because the building owner wants to raise the rent by an insane amount. I'm astounded that this is allowed - especially with the city council whining about how there are so many empty shops. We are about to lose a real gem in the local fabric. Not just a restaurant, it's also a Brazilian cutural center and Capoeira dojo. I meant to take a West African dance class here when my injuries were healed enough and the pandemic was over. Their fare was also unique and delicious. Santa Barbara will continue to make mistakes and whine about the results, like when they built the mall 30 years ago which left State St struggling. Well, now that same mall is in dire straights with their 2 anchor department stores gone. Whatever. Santa Barbara makes me so angry.

On my solo trip to SB I stumbled upon this lovely restaurant. The atmosphere, the smell inside the restaurant, it was all so good!

Our hosts Roberta and Mestre Daniel Yoshimi (aka Prof. Chin) provided an excellent menu of the favorite foods of Brazil (o Brasil, em português). One who appreciates tasty-good food simply cannot stay away very long. My tri tip was delicious, and the multiple traditional sides were exactly on-point. (Prices are friendly too.) I used to visit this establishment weekly to take part in great African drumming classes, and it's fun to revisit the festive atmosphere and food. They present their cuisine and culture with hospitality, nuance and great cooking skills. #HighlyRecommended

my boyfriend and I went here for dinner and it was a nice experience :) we each got a caipirinha to drink which was good and my boyfriend LOVED the stroganoff! My Brazilian cesar was good and the brigadiero which we got to go was AMAZING! I would go back to try more! The lady told us to make ourselves at home which was a sweet sentiment!! The people were very nice :,)

The restaurant facility itself may not look all that elegant and appealing but the service and the food really blows that away. They serve food for each meal of the day but I personally would recommend going for breakfast and trying one of their acai fruit bowls. Slightly on the pricier side but so worth it and you will be healthily full for hours to come! The culture here is also something that is unique and interesting. Great place for family brunch!

We came here just by accident, and what a beautiful accident it was. I'm a vegetarian and my husband loves his meat...they had options to satisfy us both. The food is very good, the service is amazing. Everytime we are in the area, we make a stop. It's a staple on out trips to downtown Santa Barbara!

Ots been a bit since I gave a review but the food here is making me... so good. Hot beef stroganoff- off the chain. Kudos! Nice staff too.

Delicious food! Tried the mandioca frita and Eggs Benedict with Pão de queijo this time-Wow! Packed with flavor! A definite must stop when we visit the SB area! The Brazilian in our group said it was by far his favorite mandioca frita stateside. Our son said it was the best Eggs Benedict he’s had! I agree with both!

I love this place! Amazing place to get a perfect cup of coffee and a "cheese bun" to go. Or to sit in and enjoy their unique menu. I was in Santa Barbara for the weekend and stopped here at least 6 times.

Their PF Chicken is amazing and sooo filling. They also have a really good stroganoff of the day with meat that is so tender it melts in your mouth. There's something for everyone and everything is a 10/10. I also recommend their breakfast sandwich and Rio de Janerio smoothie with honey. Everything tastes homemade and makes you feel like you left the country. (Don't get the kale salad or the São Paulo smoothie tho). This place still deserves 5 stars and is one of my favorite spots in Santa Barbara.

The baked products are wonderful, especially the pumpkin and muffins. It's incredibly hearty and safe, with carrots and almonds and all! This, in my view, is the greatest coffee shop in town. The coffee is delicious and quite addictive. Smoothies and tea are equally delicious and well-prepared. The strawberry tea is worth a try because it's wonderful!

If you're a fan of South American paintings, give this place a miss. You won't see much here. It's mostly a restaurant but the food is pretty good.

We stopped in because of the breakfast menu displayed outside, only to be told breakfast ends at noon. We were there at 12:05pm. We stayed anyway because we were on a schedule. Service was bad, had to request everything for the table including utensils. The food however was delicious! Not true Brazilian food but tasty and healthy choices.

I have lived here for 10 years and had never eaten here. I always thought it was a cafe that didn't really have a lot of food offerings. A friend suggested we eat dinner here before a play and it was so good! It was a Saturday night and we sat right down. There was almost no one else there. The prices were very reasonable and the food was great! I got the Churraso Na Chapa and the combination of everything in one bite was soooooo good. The chimmichurri was a little oily but good. The salmon was delicious and the x burger was very good too. This is a little hidden gem that I will definitely be back to.

TLDR: Flagrant health violations, extremely awful experience overall. I had such a terrible experience at this place, I had to write a review on it. My friend and I ordered a juice and a coffee when there was only one or two people eating in the restaurant. After waiting for about 15-20 minutes, we had to go up to the counter to ask about our order. During that wait, we watched the (unmasked) 3 or 4 girls working: handle food with their bare hands, eat and drink while working, heard them say "oops" several times (for what, I don't know), and one girl ask out loud to the others, "is this up for grabs?" in regards to a juice that had been sitting on the counter. This certain girl proceeded to drink said juice that had been on the counter for a few minutes. Bad customer service is one thing. But I was flabbergasted when one of the girls working grabbed the juice THAT HAD BEEN SIPPED ON BY ONE OF THE GIRLS and tried to serve it to me. It had so obviously been tampered with--juice pooling on the lid, lip marks... This is something that would have been terrible and a huge health violation before covid. But especially during covid, absolutely unacceptable. They proceeded to make me a new juice... Which looked like it came from a powder. $4.50 for a "juice" made from a powder, where you aren't sure if someone had ALREADY DRANK OUT OF IT?! No thanks. Avoid this establishment at all costs.
