This spot is amazing. Worth the trip, great food, great atmosphere, cool history. All of the food we got was amazing, including the tri tip and the onion rings of course. The bison sandwich was also out of this world.
At first, I was a little curious about this place location, but once we got there, it was totally worth every single mile drove. We got there 11:45, which had 14 min. since it opened and there were people already, but we got lucky to get a table right away. Starter with some onion rings , which were amazing with a cold beer. A true gem that is standing still in time - from 80+ years ago. Their tri tip sandwich, with that oakwood smoky flavor is one of the best I've ever had. Phenomenal burger, chili and onion rings. Great service and super friendly staff. It's a true rustic experience tucked into the Santa Ynez mountains. I drove there, but next time I'd take my bike up there.
