Dusk Bar at the Drift Hotel is hands-down one of the best spots in Santa Barbara to grab a drink and soak in the atmosphere. The space itself is beautiful—open, modern, and airy during the day, then intimate and moody at night. It manages to feel both elevated and approachable, making it perfect whether you’re stopping in for a quick happy hour or settling in for the evening.
We tried - The Picante Amante, Dapper Dave, La Adelita, and Smoke 'Em If You Got 'Em were all phenomenal—balanced, bold, and beautifully crafted.
Goose and Shiloh, behind the bar, were absolute masters. Their artistry transformed each cocktail into a sensory experience. Their craftsmanship made every sip feel intentional and the evening memorable. Goose and Shiloh are not only skilled mixologists but also genuinely personable and welcoming. They take the time to connect with guests and make you feel like a regular even on your first visit.
We will be back soon!

Came here for drinks and got cocktails and the whipped ricotta and it was delish! Michelle the bartender was awesome and made great drinks and menu suggestions for us. 10/10

The margaritas were amazing. The atmosphere was really nice. The bartender and the waiters knew their stuff. I would recommend that you order the chips and guac with your drinks, because that guac and those chips were on of THE BEST I've ever eaten. The only downside was that they didn't have any draft beer.

Chill vibey bar with good drinks. We came here on a Friday around 6pm and the wait time was only 5 mins or so after ordering. We ordered two mocktail drinks Lyer’ita and No Nada. The Lyer’ita was very tart and tasted like juice. The No Nada tasted like alcohol. My girlfriend was taking a break from alcohol and these were great alternatives. Great service and smaller relaxed bar for great conversations in the heart of downtown SB.

What an amazing little gem.
It’s a lobby bar of a hotel but doesn’t feel like it. Bartender is amazingly knowledgeable and super friendly, chef is superb!
Happy hour oysters are out of this world, margaritas are delish. I will come back every time in SB.

If you want a glass with 3 sips of a mediocre cocktail and bartenders that don't acknowledge their customers, all for 20 bucks, this is the spot for you. The ambience is nice though.
Pretty average for bars on State St. Cocktails sound fancy but partner and I found them extremely unbalanced and one dimensional for so many glowing reviews. Place is small and gets packed but is bar service only, which can be a challenge. Tuesday live music is a nice touch.
Dusk is an excellent bar located within the Drift Hotel. We were extremely pleased that this was attached to our hotel, and we visited it multiple times during our stay. They have multiple happy hours and special nights during the week that allow you to get high-quality cocktails at a reasonable price. One of my favorites was the Oaxan old fashioned. We also got the whipped ricotta dish, which was incredible—a perfect bar snack. The bartenders were kind, particularly Will, and spent time telling us about the best spots in Santa Barbara. Overall, I highly recommend this bar and would come here even if we weren’t staying at the attached hotel.
well decorated interior, friendly staff, nice atmosphere, guac is to die for

10/10 cocktails. Unique menu quite experimental but exceptional, great service, very chic
The commitment to making interesting cocktails look beautiful is only outdone by the commitment to making them taste delicious.
Try the chips and guacamole if you’re from out of town.
Damn!!! What a cocktail bar! ESPECIALLY if you love mezcal.
But, as it always is, it's even more about the people. And in this case, it's all about Junior who was our bartender.
Not to say we also didn't have a lovely conversation with Michael when Junior went on break!
All in all, what a GREAT cocktail bar!
(We didn't try the food this time)
Awesome bar where they mix up some awesome drinks! Live music on Tues and it was really good! Loved the drinks, atmosphere was really sweet, and the service was great! Go here to get some expertly mixed Mezcal drinks and enjoy the downtown Santa Barbara vibes!
